R.I.P. Kobe Bryant (1978-2020). You were a basketball legend and my prayers are with his family and all of the basketball community!!!
He was one of my favorite basketball players growing up and the main reason I started rooting for the Lakers. This is very tragic news and a very tragic day for everyone who liked him or watches basketball. He is an a much better place now.

Don't know anything about him, but...
RIP to him, his 13 year old daughter, and anyone else caught up in the accident 🙏

What matters is whether or not she meant to say it and I seriously doubt she meant to. Who the fuck is going to go on national TV and call the L.A. Lakers the Los Angeles Niggers intentionally?

You apparently only hear what you want to hear. Would be interesting though, what would your response be like if it was a Fox reporter who slipped up like that. Something tells me your reaction might be a little different.

Of course she didn't mean to say that word, but she did say it as she was describing a professional basketball team. I'm not saying she's a full blown racist or anything, but some kind of racial stereotyping stew is brewing in her mind. I mean, she didn't throw out the old joke about what you call a white guy hanging out with five black guys, but at least that would have been funny.

Saw somebody on Twitter suggest during the All Star game one side wear #8 and the other wear #24. With possibly the captains wearing #3 for his daughter. Thought that was a nice suggestion and would be pretty touching.

Yeah, ok, I can see that. I wouldn't go that far to say she was doing some racial stereotyping, but I can see how it might strike a person as a bit of a Freudian slip.

Nope, I think this issue is a really stupid one unless the person has a history of racist remarks or retweets. But now it makes me question the opposite for you.

Not sure what to say that hasn't already been said. Basketball legend aside, so somebody he was a husband, a father, a son, a friend. All of those things are gone now. And to hear one of his daughters was also on board, makes it so much worse. People die every day, but it's harder to accept when it happens so suddenly. RIP to all of the victims and condolences to their families.

It appears there was a lot of fog in the LA areas, but it wasn't detrimental to the accident. The crash that killed legendary basketball player Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter and seven other people on Sunday happened during severe fog that had grounded local police agencies' helicopters. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Air Support Division grounded its helicopters and didn’t fly until later in the afternoon because of the fog, department spokesman Josh Rubenstein told the Los Angeles Times. He said flight minimums for the department are 2 miles of visibility and an 800-foot cloud ceiling. “The weather situation did not meet our minimum standards for flying,” Rubenstein said. Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said his department also had no helicopters in the air Sunday morning “basically because of the weather.” weather.com/news/news/2020-01-26-nba-star-kobe-bryant-killed-in-calabasas-helicopter-crash

It's just that I heard that this was normal. There's been stories that he flies in fog all the time, but sadly this time, as your report mentioned, it was the cause. Very sad.
