CLIFFHANGERS 1979 Mainly because they ended it one episode before it was over for the season. I finally watched the missing episode thanks to it being shown in Europe in the early 80s and someone videotaping it.

This was before I loved horror movies, obviously. I remember carefully covering my neck so Dracula wouldn't bite me when I got into bed. I was at a friend's house and this came on and I suddenly made up an excuse to go home. Unfortunately, it was dark out! That was a terrifying three minute walk! I was such a little 🐔💩

CSI, I know it was losing steam but I miss the show and if they had stayed focused on episodic stories it could have kept evolving.
X-Files, it wasn't the same without Duchovney.

He and She with Richard Benjamin and his lovely wife Paula Prentiss didn't last long. ![](https://i.pinimg.com/236x/8a/23/09/8a230953ce34a2704a42b359b5d84ea3--he-and-she-best-tv.jpg)

Sense8 I wish had gone longer - although the finale provided a suitable conclusion to the show. Once Upon a Time could've benefitted from ending a couple of seasons earlier.

Too early: Max Headroom - way ahead of it's time - no pun intended

Happy Days should have ended a few years earlier.

Too early: since Twin Peaks and Arrested Development were revived, I'll say The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
Too late: Roseanne. The appeal of that show was that it was about average, working class people. Then they won the lottery, either to change things up or because Roseanne herself no longer related to us plebs, and it became a completely different show.
Also have to echo The Office US. It was already running out of steam before, but then Carrell left and it really took a dive.

To me, Perfect Strangers deserved at least one more season. Seeing Larry and Balki be parents to their infant sons while their wives continued to work their flight attendant jobs would have been a great situation for the writers to tackle. God bless you always!!! Holly THIS! And I wish Balki and Larry made appearances on Family Matters. I always wondered what it'd be like to see Balki and Steve Urkel interact with each other I second this. To me, Harriette could've made a here and there appearance on Perfect Strangers still even after Family Matters got started.
God bless you always!!!

Lou Grant--good topical drama that would have lasted longer if Ed Asner hadn't pissed off the Reaganites with his very public criticism of the Contra affair.
Law & Order SVU--should have ended years ago. Has almost completely lost any semblance of an intriguingly-plotted crime drama, and has become all about #MeToo virtue signalling and endless boring soap opera about the main characters' personal lives.

There's an ironic one that technically "ended too soon", after a fashion, but I might also say it could have ended sooner - Saving Hope. It's a medical drama starring Michael Shanks and Erica Durance, originally made for Canadian television; picked up and aired in its first season on NBC. NBC cancels it after its first season, but here's the thing, it kept going in Canada and was phenomenal - especially after it's first season.
But I would also argue that it would have been better if it ended at least episode earlier than it did; and maybe even the last seasons, which probably wasn't its strongest....
Still a great series overall, and highly recommend checking it out; it's on Hulu for anyone not already familiar with it. Just maybe skip the last episode.
