It's open season on white people. Again. A lot of people are taking Ancestry DNA tests to try and find a way they can tell people that they're not fully white pretty funny. I live in the Arctic nobody cares about race up here. |

He sounds a bit confused and is trying to save face due to his initial tweet and then backpeddled. He is talking confounded rhetoric. There are only 5 slots for director, who should be removed to replace Gerwig just because she has a vagina and what about the other nominees that missed out, even those that didn't even get acknowledged into a category and were also worthy. The Oscars are a joke anyway.

He made a simple and contained tweet that I agreed with. He is an uber-wealthy mastersmith writer, if he can't choose his words carefully, then what did he really mean?
He meant what he said and then got the jitters due to the backlash. If no-one had jumped on the faux outrage bandwagon, would he have then tweeted a second time? The backlash prompted his own fake guilt conscience to try and correct something that was already right in the first place. Now, he has just made himself wrong by playing the fool.

But he's got a point with this statement: While tweets have a limited character restriction, he could have said similar the first time if that is what he really meant to begin with. This is a reassessment, in a desperate attempt to save face. I guess he thinks his new books might get boycotted or something.
To me, that is like DUH, really King! He is coming across as patronizing now.
