Post your favorite Star Wars ship designs. Tell us why you think they’re the best, or why they’re your favorite.

TIE Fighter. Because it is so unusual looking. No spaceship like it previously.

The Falcon has to be my favorite. But most of the OT has the rustic used look that came from using model parts to construct them. It gives them that unique look.

Greebles! They used lots of greebles (little doodads from model kits). I saw a pic in a magazine for TESB on them making a star destroyer-they had to wear hazmat suits as they worked with the glue and parts.

Yeah, it gave the ships a functional look that you could see from the outside. You could imagine all of those greebles having some special purpose. It was like nothing we had seen before.

I heard you can see glue drips on the models up close.
Leaking greeble oil?

The Falcon has to be my favorite. But most of the OT has the rustic used look that came from using model parts to construct them. It gives them that unique look. The Falcon is also my favorite. Something about the look and shape of the ship. Maybe the size too. It’s large enough to hold a small squad of troops as we see at the end of TLJ. But small enough to compete with fighters. It also reminds me of an old ‘70s muscle car. But with lots of new tech mods and aftermarket parts. So it can compete with the newest stuff out there. And how can you not like Han Solo’s personal ship?

I heard you can see glue drips on the models up close. Leaking greeble oil? That actually sounds like a cool effect that would add to the used, rustic look.

Something about that big triangular wedge shape is intimidating.

TIE Fighter. Because it is so unusual looking. No spaceship like it previously. It might be the most unusual looking spaceship ever! Even over 40 years after the first time it was onscreen.
