I never was a "Trekkie" but I enjoyed the odd episode now and then. This new series is a vehicle for Sir Patrick Stewart who arguably played Enterprise's greatest commander. Here he is as Picard in retirement, when a young woman who is the synthetic daughter of old friend Data, gets him up off his arthritic backside to deal (again) with those pesky Romulans. Visually, it is mind-boggling, making "beam me up Scotty", something akin to letter-writing but the dialogue (in the first two episodes) is so full of technical jargon that the show is in danger of disappearing up its own arse. Seems more like a Starfleet on-line manual than a good old sci-fi yarn. Hopefully that will dissipate because what little action we have seen, looks good.

I will never accept a destroyed Romulus. Away with this Kelvin-timeline crap.

Those Disrespectful People known as "The Fandom Menace" (specifically the ones on YOUTUBE) have already been attacking and insulting the show.
There are also a lot of reviewers (also on YOUTUBE) who having been giving the show negative reviews although they have been doing it in more respectful fashion than those in "The Fandom Menace" have been.
LOL, I myself still can't believe that in the 2nd Episode....
That 1 Admiral fired an F-Bomb at Jean-Luc Picard!
LOL, You can't fire an F-Bomb at Jean-Luc Picard.......HE'S JEAN-LUC PICARD!!!

This show is getting royally crapped on in the media.
Going to have to give it a watch even though I've never seen one Star Trek episode or movie and don't know Spock from Chewie.

It's just a streaming thing, is it not? I can't afford 60-70 subscriptions

Spock - pointed ears but black hairs (blond hair = elf = Lord of the Rings, if small goblins = Harry Potter) Chewie - furry but thin bear-like creature.

Nitpicking is So Freaking Childish! Well, it's his opinion. He's entitled. And I wish I had listened to him when it came to Discovery. I really do. I want those hours back.
I am not a fan of most Star Trek. I own TOS (easily my favorite), and one season of TNG (the one that has Yesterday's Enterprise) and the complete series of Enterprise, though I only got that at the time because it was so cheap on Amazon. I enjoyed it but I haven't been eager to revisit it.
And I own some of the movies.
But if you like Picard, that's great!

What do you think of the "ENTERPRISE" Series if you don't mind me asking ?

I thought it got better as the series progressed and probably deserved another season.
The series ending episode was just the worst. What were they thinking? It left such a bad taste.
I thought the actor who played Tripp was very good and my favorite of the series, I'm too lazy to look him up but he certainly had my favorite moment of the series, and his relationship with the Vulcan, who was also quite good, could have been something special going forward. But they put an end to that. What a shame.

Connor Trinneer played 'Trip' and yeah, I liked him as well.
My Favorite characters on the show were him, T'Pol (The Female Vulcan), Captain Archer, Lt. Reed, and Dr. Phlox.
