Here's the thing with this critic, apparently she was going to be some sort of script writer or something. On a Robert Altman movie. But when that didn't pan out, she then panned every movie afterwards that he did since. In other words slammed every movie, in a review. Gave it a negative review.
So therefore that's what I think of this critic, a vindictive crummy person.

I'll say this about Pauline Kael, she was an excellent critique writer but it was frustrating how she panned a lot of the important New Age Hollywood films of the 1970s, and that made her somewhat of a blowhard.

Not my kind of critic, for all her obvious writing talent. I think when she went after something, often to an irrational level, she was like a dog with a bone. She could be outright dismissive at times.
