Why would anybody want to be a filmmaker? Just look what they did to George Lucas. Lucas was like a god. He created 6 amazing films that became the core of modern myth. And all that just to be betrayed by his own stupid smelly lard ass nerd fans. And then they went on a rampage against the Matrix sequels then against Michael Bay, M. Night Shyamalan. And then against the Twilight movies. And then against Justin Bieber.
Because they need people they can lambast to make themselves feel superior.
In recent times people are trying to character assassinate Spielberg trying to prove he's a child molester. That's what he gets for producing all our beloved childhood films.
I mean what would be the point of trying to be a filmmaker? To show off how "brilliant" you are like Stanley Kubrick and abuse your cast and crew? To show off how perverted you are like Crackhead Tarantino and disguise your violence as anti-racism?
Also you can forget about trying to be a "artist" since most movies nowadays are just superhero movies, and remakes, and sequels, and Star Wars is an abomination now thanks to the fans. Star Wars fans are the scum of the Earth and should be killed.
Movies suck, you might as well be watching cartoons with all that CGI. I think Eli Roth had the right idea. Just create shocking material and freak out the audience for your own amusement. Eli Roth truly is a misunderstood genius for choosing to go down that route.
