None. Why would anyone wish that, anyway?

None. Why would anyone wish that, anyway? Only where they released too many and the quality suffered. Would we really miss those last three R.E.M. albums? Guided by Voices were great but started to decline rapidly towards the end.

REM had two excellent albums to end their career (Accelerate, Collapse Into Now) and Sonic Youth had four very good ones...(Murray Street, Sonic Nurse, Rather Ripped, The Eternal)

None. Why would anyone wish that, anyway? because your college roommate owned them and played them all the time

I like Prince, but not sure his body of work merited 39 albums.

I wouldn't say I'd want their careers to end, but acts whose work I lose interest in after their earlier stuff...
Bob Dylan Rolling Stones

Motorhead. Fine band, but 22 albums is a bit much. There's only so many times they could use the Ace of Spades riff (six, by my count).

And speaking of recycled riffs: Chuck Berry.

And speaking of recycled riffs: Chuck Berry. Pretty much all of 50s rock music honestly...

RAMONES - love 'em and their resilience is part of their charm, but after End of the Century, the law of diminishing returns sets in pretty quickly.

None. I don't have a "cutoff point" for any artist. I love a ton of late career albums that people bitch about. People have tastes that are way too fussy, and they act as if artists are supposed to cater to their shitty narrow-mindedness.

People like what they like, it's that simple, or at least it should be.

I think both AC/DCs and The Ramones' discographies could be edited down to maybe half a dozen albums each and no one would really miss the stuff that didn't make the cut.
