In theory I'd be willing to give it a shot, but in all honesty I'm probably going to forget it's even on.

I wouldn’t watch this even if their cheerleaders gave out free blow jobs to viewers.

I hope this time around the XFL is a success. It obviously won't be the NFL, but it'd be cool to have another professional football league around.

He's sinking 350 mil of his own money into it, so he needs at least three seasons of big TV money to recoup and then hope it catches on. That is literally the plan. I think it will be a bomb by season 3 just like last time.

Expecting this thing to be popular enough to generate that kind of money is overly ambitious... again...

I fully expect the teams to have cheerleaders you wouldn’t want a BJ from in the first place. Unless he goes the other way and porns them up like WWE divas.

That would add an element of fun, like the strippers turned cheerleaders in The Replacements. (My second reference to that movie this morning. I want residuals.)

Your right, I meant "week" 3 (not season since there weren't 3 seasons), lol.

Thats a fair point...these offshoot pro leagues would probably have much better luck in like, july, feeding off the barren sports wasteland of mid summer...rather than a week after the superbowl.

Yeah, which makes me wonder if there is any influence or pressure from the NFL on their scheduling. Have the XFL right BEFORE the start of the NFL season might give them the ratings. Or as you mention somewhere in between football seasons. But the NFL may have told the networks they wouldn't be able to broadcast the games if they did that. I dunno what it is. But all we know is that the NFL is this really huge billion money making business giant that I suspect has some influence over these wanna be pro football teams.

True dat, just stupid to start play a week after the actual Super bowl. Wait a couple months when people havent had any football adn want to see it, not right after the biggest game in sports that will make their new league look stupid.
