Weirdly just yesterday I was playing the film music from The Man From Snowy River on the piano wondering about how Kirk Douglas was doing.

And know they are down to 2 actors who are still alive of those who where born in the 1910s. 9 actresses born in the 1910s are still alive. Who would they be?
Olivia De Havilland is the only one I can think of.

Marsha Hunt (102) Elisabeth Waldo (101) Diana Serra Cary (101) Jeanne Manet (101) Dusty Anderson (101) Carnen Marsh Doll (100) Marge Champion (100) Betty Brodel (100) Are the other 8 And remember i said actresses not star actresses, Olivia de Havilland is the last start of that era that is left, But she is not the last actress. Norman Lloyd (105) and Nehemiah Persof (100) are the last actors left

Sadly, we have another name to add to the "In Memoriam" segment for the upcoming Academy Awards on Sunday. Probably too late to include him since they have that segment worked up in advance, but since he's such an icon they might do a separate tribute. He always had a twinkle in his eye, and it was clear that he enjoyed life. The Fury is one of my favorite guilty pleasure movies of all time. RIP, Sir.

Spartacus Seven Days in May Cast a Giant Shadow
My top 3 of his. He will definitely be missed. He leaves behind an incredible list of films.

'finally' seems a bit strange - like he's been keeping everyone waiting or something.

R.I.P. Kirk Douglas
In interviews he usually mentioned Lonely Are the Brave 1962 as his own favorite among the movies he starred in himself: "Life Can Never Cage A Man Like This!" seems to have fit Kirk very well too.

So if they do a special tribute for him (which seems likely regardless) what happens next January with the Golden Globes? Don't they usually do their own segments?

I am planning on watching Spartacus tonight in his honour.
