Fights have broken out at football, both US and EU, games. But which sports have the least amount of fights in the stands or most respectful fans of opposing teams? I'm guessing baseball, hockey and hoops.
Golf, tennis, bowling etc doesn't count. I'm talking about team sports where the fans are passionate and the conditions are right for a fight that doesn't happen at all or the very least.

Doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I'm just going by what I have heard or read which is football fans fighting.

I think John McEnroe started a few riots in his day.

I'm just going by what I have heard or read which is football fans fighting. They can be brutal, especially to opposing fans. Worse than NFL games. And the more rough the game is on ice, the rougher the fans get.
The Romans at the gladiatorial games most have been a rowdy bunch.

I'm not surprised. Probably doesn't get as much household attention as football does because it's hockey.

The scum of society are usually the football fans (don't mean anything against football fans here). But football is usually famous among the worst kinds, I agree with Nuts about tennis. Don't know if tennis has the nicest fans but certainly they are better than fans of most other sports.

Definitely not cricket. Yelling obscenities at the players and other crowd members is completely normal at cricket games. And it happens everywhere, in multiple countries and cultures.

Naturally everybody I'd chiming with obvious answers of low interest sports and individual sports, when the question was posed about team sports with big fan bases.
