i thought movie had the best ending possible for the movie they made yes, the best possible ending for the Star Wars saga, trilogy and movie indeed: - They rehashed RotJ but let the First Order in charge of the galaxy (only Palps fleet was destroyed). - The OT achievements and Anakin's sacrifice are finally diminished to nullified so that you do not even have to watch the damn thing anymore. - The Skywalker family is routed and the Palpatines rule, assuming the Skywalker name. Also enjoyed how so many set ups and character relationships went nowhere Bravo! It's not the ending Star Wars needed, but the ending it deserved.

Also not what he said, he said for the movie they made, as in for a movie that finished off the shitting on the OT Jar Jar I mean JJ started in TFA, having it end with every blood member of the Skywalker family dead and forgotten only for Rey Palpatine to assume their name like she assumed their role in the entire series to walk off into the sunset as the hero of the galaxy at the end of this financially expensive but creatively bankrupt trilogy, it was the best one could hope for in this mess.

I am sorry to hear that, mate. I feel your pain but maybe you are taking movies way to seriously? Look there is a simple workaround solution for this: Do it like me. After the shock of Force Awakens I immediately and irrevocably de-canonized the sequels in my head canon (not: R1, Mandalorian, rebels; Solo is pending).
This way they cannot hurt you. Brings balance to the saga. Brings so much joy to your life.
Schadenfreude in lieu of suffering. Mockery instead of embarrassment. Thriving instead of perdition.

True, but he had that diatribe in his back pocket and couldn't wait to vomit it out on the board somewhere....

I don't hate em, and I'm not mad they were made. They have some good stuff to em and I'll happily watch any of them on a rainy day, but at the end of the day, because of how inconsistent they are with the OT with so many different elements, I just view em as an entire different entity and not actually canon stories before the OT. Makes it so much easier to watch when you're not trying to connect dots between the prequels and the OT that either aren't there or should be.
