Nah dude $250-300m depending on domestic to international split. The poor man's calculating usually doubles the production budget to break even. I use a 1.83 factor. This would not include marketing costs since that comes out of a different budget. You also have to consider offsets for taxes and promotions. The film is being promoted by outfits such as DC Universe, Megan Thee Stallion (for her song, βDiamondsβ), Saweetie & GALXARA (for their song, βSway With Meβ), Splat Hair Color, Magnolia Bakery, ORLY Beauty, Smashbox, Triumph Motorcycles, Hot Topic, Her Universe, Rooster Teeth, PicsArt, and TikTok. Even though the box office looks small, the film is going to eventually be profitable because of its low budget and numerous promotions. It will definitely be more profitable than Green Lantern (which only made $219 million on a $200 million budget) and "Catwoman" (which made $82 million on a $100 million budget). It's technically a different budget but it's still the pre-release budget, I personally count anything you have to pay to get the movie into the theatres as that, with an estimated $250-300m break even point according to industry insiders and the budget being now reported as being between $81-100m which I will take as the originally stated $85m, and how usually the low end of a break even estimate is done by pure domestic gross, implies the combined cost of marketing and production lie in the $125-130m range, and a film does need to recoup both of the production and marketing to break even, taxes, interest and such you can not factor in but marketing has to be recouped from the box office, not for a film to be profitable but for it to not be a box office flop or bomb.
Also a static factor is a silly thing to go by, because it changes based on how well a movie does where, a SW for instance actually need lower than Marvel to break even based on the same budget as SW is usually 50/50 ish domestic to international and due to low appeal in china, meaning overall they get more return per dollar earned, where as Marvel can go 60-70% international meaning their return per dollar is lower, going by how BOP split it's box office and middle ranged profit spilts which tend to be 50-55% domestic and 40-43% international, so say 52.5% and 41.5% with international being the stronger side, slightly that would give roughly...not including china, you are talking roughly $17.3m and $19.9m for a combined return as of right now roughly $37.2m or 46% of it's gross, that would require a box office if kept as it is of $185m just to break even on production and an additional $86-88m to cover marketing, putting it around $270m+ just to break even.

The Name change just adds to the persona that DC is still kind of rudderless. They have made great strides to reduce this perception over the last few years, but still it doesn't. Help.
"Something's wrong. Lets change this mid-stream or when it's far to late to try and save it."

"Something's wrong. Lets change this mid-stream or when it's far to late to try and save it." It's JL all over again, "should we include Superman in the marketing so everyone knows he's in it?" "nah people know all this stuff it's on the internet" cut to 3 days later "ah fuck no one watched the movie quick add Superman to the marketing quick" "I told you we should have done that in the first place" "oh shut up Jeb no one likes a know it all".
They bring it on themselves they really do the damn fools.

I was one of five people in the audience. Itβs too bad. I think this would had found an audience from the same crowd as Deadpool if marketed better.

Box Office Mojo is definitely off with the OS numbers. That whole website has just been on a downward spiral ever since that stupid overhaul.

Is there any good accurate box office sites? A website called The Numbers is generally the second best.
