There’s not a whole lot to really spoil about it. I was somewhat impressed at how far the movie went with the violence and gore. Seeing Victor Zzasz peel off a man’s face was a good establishing moment to show just how twisted him and Black Mask are.

Just got back from it and it was a lot of fun, very stylistically directed. It was sort of what the first Suicide Squad wanted to be. Robbie was of course a complete delight as Quin, obviously having a blast in the role, and Winstead stole a lot of scenes.

While I enjoyed the movie a whole hell of a lot more than Suicide Squad, it repeated something that SS did that always bugged me: having a character just casually introduce a new power that comes as a surprise to non-comic reading viewers. In S Diablo turned into a giant fire monster out of nowhere, and in BOP Black Canary belts out a sonic blast.

In that film, all those blood and gore scenes seem to be done for laughs. That scene, on the other hand, was genuinely disturbing.

How would you compare with these films?: -Guardians of the Galaxy -Ant-Man -Deadpool -Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 -Spider-Man: Homcoming -Thor: Ragnarok -Deadpool 2 -Ant-Man and the Wasp -Shazam! -Spider-Man: Far from Home At least when it comes to DC/Marvel comedies?

Not sure why you'd classify Spiderman in the same category.

The problem with DC is they still don't seem to have their footing. Marvel has a feel to it. DC hasn't found their groove

Black Canary though has also had 7 years live action on TV to educate most non comic fans to her powers which 10's of millions of people worldwide have watched so that's less of an issue imo with Canary.

I think you might be overestimating Arrows viewership there Not really Arrow and Flash, sometimes Legends and Supergirl are among the 10 most torrented shows of the year, Arrow also averaged over 2 million viewers an episode just in the US for it's first 5 seasons, over 3 million for the first 3 seasons, as well as being shown in multiple countries, 10+ million viewers globally is very easy to believe, CW make a lot of their money selling their shows abroad that's why they can absorb so many lower viewed shows, because they are popular internationally, sometimes more so than they are domestically.
Add to that streaming views either on the CW app or whatever the official CW service is and Netflix and those numbers just grow, just because something doesn't appear to be so popular doesn't mean it isn't, GOT was often called the biggest show on TV same with Breaking Bad but NCIS put up numbers far higher every year, don't mistake "popular" with viewership, GOT last season averaged just shy of 12 million views an episode, NCIS for that same season almost 16 million, down 1 million from the season previously, and that's a 20+ episode a year procedural show going on 16 years at that point, but no one talks about NCIS that much.

I see the phrase "10's of millions" and I assume we are talking 20, 30, 40 million, which I find difficult to believe that that many people watch the show. There's is never gointg to be definitive figures of how many do watch it, who are new viewers or how many have actually watched or stuck with what they downloaded. I guess I look at it as the TV ratings reflect the interest in other countries & platforms, and where the likes of GoT started low and grew, it's been a reverse for Arrow.

How was Harley able to take down so many bad guys, she is not super powered or that skilled. Seemed unrealistic even for cbm.

To be absolutely fair, television is dying in general. Plenty of people are cutting the chord in favor of streaming, so it’s hardly surprising that the ratings for these shows are much lower than they were in their prime.
