Why does everybody in this Disney movie speak with an English accent? Including Angelina Jolie?

Why does it matter ?
It's still a Good Movie (and so is it's Sequel) which is the important thing.
Having said that, I still don't agree with the decision to turn 'Maleficent' good when she is supposed to be an Evil Villain but I think that it was done very well.

They didn't have English accents in the 1959 movie. The early 60s Tower of London starring Vincent Price was set in England but had zero British accents.

I don`t like how they try to make Maleficent into being a misunderstood person who is really a good person.
I don`t care that they speak English

Didn’t the original movie have all English accents as well? I don’t think that is much of a problem for this movie, anyway.

Okay thanks I never saw Lord of the Rings. You should definitely give them a chance, even at 3 hours per film.

Not always, but in this movie, yes. Nobody's blaming the man for her evil vengeance. But he started it with his betrayal (he cut off her wings so he could fool his father into making him king). They were both at fault for keeping the feud going so long. But he started it. But she's totally responsible for her reaction.

I'd like to know how the boyfriend was able to cut Maleficent's wings off --- without waking her up.

I'd like to know how the boyfriend was able to cut Maleficent's wings off --- without waking her up. He drugged her. That would be a way to do it. But there was no mention of that in the movie.
