This is a very good video. However, 1) the Romans may not have had the best equipment in every one of their confrontations, and 2) having better equipment than the enemy isn't always a war-winner. Enjoy.

I can't watch the video right now but the image shows the iconic lorica segmentata. Most tv shows/movies depict Roman soldiers using this armor even though it was only used during the 1st to 3rd century AD. Far more common and used even before, was the lorica hamata. Which was basically chainmail.
