I'd rather they just not include Mystique in the first place. There are plenty of X-Men characters far more interesting than Mystique. Well, if you're adapting Avengers Annual #10 and you have the main characters to do so... You use them. And the comics version of Mystique is far more interesting than the one they used in the movies. Ok... I'm a bit slow here. Why exactly would they want/need to adapt Avengers Annual #10?

If Rogue is the villain in a Captain Marvel movie then you do the story that was Rogue's 1st appearance with Marvel Super-Heroes #11. And not doing that story for those characters is like them not using Avengers #1 for the 1st Avengers movie (which they did).

although that will be quite true to the comics. it now comes off as desperate for the mcu.
the cinematic universe marvel movies are seen as a joke. many are now going back to the traditional era of comic movies and with dc now not needing to tie up everything. MCU is on its last leg of their tired childish formula.
also we know xmen in the mcu is going to be bad and be more for kids, so there is no investment there.
I will feel bad for this rogue and captain marvel 2 movie. the first captain marvel film was very bad, the second could be worse. the movie won't hold a candle to Days of future past the rogue cut.

many are now going back to the traditional era of comic movies And when was that? What was that? when comic movies were seen more for grown ups without this stupid movies that tries to connect everything. that is now seen as too easy for kids.
if I want to watch a captain marvel and rogue show down , I will watch the marvel 90s cartoon. that cartoon would turn out better than the movie. captain marvel was really bad, I don't see how part 2 will be good. it is not wonder woman and no where near would it be as good as the epic rogue cut.

Also, you'd think that having all the movies connect would make it harder for kids to understand.
Also also, these aren't separate movie series. It's one big movies series. Saying they shouldn't be connected is like saying The Dark Knight shouldn't be connected to Batman Begins. The Incredible Hulk is the sequel to Iron Man. It's not another franchise they connected to Iron Man.

I dont hate comics. mcu seems to hate comics. they don't do comics right. all their movies have brought severe embarrassment to the comic books because they are not doing it right.
look at the most respected comic movies in history to name a few. X1/X2, Spiderman/Spiderman 2, Logan, Joker, Superman 1978 and TDK. Notice they are not connected to any other marvel and DC IP.
just last year alone Joker exposed the childishness of Endgame and that is the biggest comics connector. it so silly now.
