Rey wanted a job and Han offered one. Finn ran away from work and wasn’t offered a job by Han.

It goes deeper than that. When everyone gets to Maz’s cantina castle, the only one who wants to complete the mission of delivering BB8 is Rey.
Not Finn, even though he has a motive: he believes the First Order is an evil that will only keep advancing. He goes cowardly and tries to run away. Not Han, he has a motive: delivering BB8 could help find his best friend Luke. Nope, he doesn’t want to get involved. Not even Maz, she should have motivation considering she gives a big speech about the evils of the First Order and how you have to take a stand against them. Nope, it’s got to be someone else’s responsibility.
Rey is the only one who wants to do it despite the fact that her only motivation is finding her family. And she has no firsthand experience with the evils of the First Order before that very day.

Star wars is guilty of several racial stereotypes, beginning with Jawas and gay Brit-Butlers, but none of them bother me as they are portrayed via funny aliens and robots and are not malignant, this is not "Jud Süß" (a nazi propaganda film).
The only thing that I find baffling is the racial caricature of Finn in Force Awakens, written by notoriously PC SJWs, not alt righter:
- runaway slave motive
- gets his name by a white guy (historically sensitive!)
- cowardly flees and rejoices killing his slave-brothers/sisters without remorse
- jives crap like "Droid, please!"
- is lying to and stalking the white chick (Boyfriend, cute boyfriend? Reeeeeeey!!!!)
- gets electrocuted (several time) and called a thief
- drinks/pushed by animals and is strangled by Chewie (he does it only with black guys)
- turns out to be the janitor
- is notoriously inferior to the white guys at everything and needs their help (flying, languages, mechanics, fighting etc)
