The SalvationBest Danish western I have ever seen! Mads Mikkelsen plays the hero, a Danish immigrant who gets in trouble with a brutal gang led by Negan from The Walking Dead. And there is a sports connection too: Eric Cantona plays one of the gang members!

Powder Room (2013) with the wonderful Sheridan Smith, Riann Steele, Jaime Winstone, Oona Chaplin and Kate Nash (not forgetting Johnnie Fiori as the 'angry lady' toilet attendant)
It's a night out that turns out to be the night out for some of them. Chick-flick? Yeah but nah, this is for everyone.

Who's That Girl (1987) with Griffin Dunne, and Madonna. I get a kick out of this one now, as it's imbued with a lot of 80s cultural references that almost make you nostalgic (the record-store scene, with cassette tapes, is a case in point!). Seen from the perspective of 30 years hence, it's a fun, absurdist romp of a comedy.

May catch it on iplayer since he made such a great job of directing "Boy". I recommend you guys also watch "Eagle vs. Shark" and "Hunt for the Wilderpeople", which were also written and directed by Taika Waititi. Other recommendations: "IT" (2017) and "Gerald's Game". Not a horror fan, but these two were pretty good. |

Just watching Louis Theroux's My Scientology Movie(15) on the box now and who only turns up in the first few minutes, only the creepy Paz de la Huerta, one of Harvey W's latest accusers, I think he'll get away with that one, cos she's nuts. |
