thisguy4000I might agree with you on some of the 2019 Best Picture nominee's, but definitely not all of them. like... Joker/The Irishman/Once Upon a Time in Hollywood etc are all likely to top it (and probably some others to). p.s. hell, 1917 or American Beauty, both from the same director, which have awards but are clearly more forgettable than the directors top movies, which are... Road to Perdition(10/10)/Skyfall(9/10)/Spectre(7.5-8/10). ck100I think that's partially true, but I think what makes a classic/a movie really stand out is a combo of things like solid commercial success paired with general praise/movie quality. because some movies, like most super hero movies, have the $ going for them, but don't have the staying power and wide appeal among a wider range of age groups etc. that's why I think something like Gladiator (2000) has staying power as it's got solid $ and people generally like it quite a bit and it's not mainly limited to young people like super hero movies seem to be. Nicko's NoseI know it might be easy for you to attempt to dis me for not having seen it yet, but #21 in IMDb's Top 250 is pretty extreme. I know my taste in movies well enough to where I can say with a solid level of confidence that movie simply won't be THAT great. even if I underestimate it a fair amount, there is NO WAY it's going to be that great (as in anywhere near #21 of all-time) for me to the point I would bet money on it.

Depends on if one watches it.
It's made history so it will be remembered for that alone.

I don't know about the general public, but I think that among movie fans it will be remembered more than any other winner this decade, probably this century besides Return of the King. Whatever you think of the movie or your political viewpoint, it is the first foreign language winner and that will make sure it will be in all movie-related history books. And besides that it's one of the most acclaimed movies of all-time. And I personally also expect to rewatch it many times.

Do you think Parasite will be a Best Picture winner that will be remembered or forgotten over time? Forgotten since America is still a very much racist and biased country. How popular was it for money making?

Yes, it will be. How popular was it for money making? It broke box office records for a limited foreign-language release, even before the award season began.

Do you think Parasite will be a Best Picture winner that will be remembered or forgotten over time? Remembered and the specific posters on here who adamantly say no are deluded.
