So he does love them. That does contradict whatever nolan thought he was saying. Well you have to remember, thenolan will twist someone's words around to match whatever little temper tantrum he's throwing at the moment. I do enjoy that he proves himself wrong; that's pretty fun.

Wonder how endgame ended up with zero oscars as the number 1 money movie.

You are right Logan is pure art and class. Endgame is a childish video game movie. Endgame is not even as good as X-Men 1, a far more realistic adult movie. Don't insult Logan's genius by putting endgame next to it.

I don't watch award shows. I stopped caring about beauty and popularity contests when I was in middle school. As I've explained to your alter ego. Better, Good, Bad, Worse are subjective. Unless you've come up with a Axiom or Scientific Theory of Objectively Classifying Art then you have nothing but your opinion. And that's all that matters your opinion. Unlike a real consumer of art you can't let your own judgement stand on it own. Your belief in your opinion is shaky. Your first line of defense is critics when those critics suit you. The only problem is critical acclaim is just other peoples opinion. They mean jack and shit when determining artistic merit. Their opinions mean just as much as yours or mine. Even if their opinion means anything MCU has critical acclaim, but you default to conspiracy theories, of back room deals of buying critics, and only point to the ones that opinions match yours. (When it's pointed out that some of the same critics opinion is for movies you deem worthy you just blow that off too. Their opinions only count when they match your own. It's part of your coping mechanism and confirmation bias.) It must get to you a little bit because then you down shift to awards. Which is a cumulative opinion. Though it's even more tainted than critical opinion. Critics sign their name to their opinion. They have an individual track record. You with the power of the internet can look what their opinions were. With award shows it's masked in anonymity. Also campaigning for awards is not secret. Harvey Wienstein's whole business model was based on campaigning. Make a low budget Oscar bait film. Campaign the shit out of it to get nominations. The nominations give it a buzz driving people to see the movie in theaters. Make a large return on the little budget and low advertising budget. Hell he reportedly spent more money on campaigning that the budget of the movie and marketing budget combined. Any validity that the industry insiders had on judging artistic merit went out the window when the boards allowed campaigning. Even if nominations and awards mean anything the MCU has been nominated/won for prestigious awards you will default to that they weren't earned. When pointed out you go back to conspiracy theories of literally buying nominations or guilt trips to get nominations. When the whole campaigning thing means EVERY award that allows campaigning has been bought. Meaning every movie, actor, director, writer, producer, sound editor, cinematographer, conductor, editor, etc that has won an award has in some part been bought. When this is pointed out you changed your tack. You then will bring up individual movie makers opinion. If their opinion is critical you will proclaim it as proof that your opinion is correct. You will misquote, twist, spin any opinion you believe to be slightly critical into proof that their opinion matches your own and is proof your opinion is right. Even when shown that you are taking things out of context or spinning them you seem to have inside knowledge of what they "actually" mean. Or dismiss their praise. Another coping mechanism. It's sad really. I would hate to have such a shaky confidence in my own ability to judge what I think is good that I have to depend on other's opinion to bolster my own. Must be hell to look to others to validate your own thoughts and judgments.

Well that's a lie. The joke, and the reaction was at Scorsese's expense. If you don't understand it, don't fucking comment on it.

Do you ever watch what you post? His quote is A little ironic that he wants them to tell a different story when almost every film he has made is a retelling of another story. And he's also being a little ironic with the statement I've bolded, considering his first movie was in 1984 and he's directed all of SEVEN whole movies in that thirty-six year career. What a busy, grand storyteller he is. And a lot of them are remakes, sequels or based on something else (Terminator).

You wasted your time with that response. Again, if you don't understand it don't fucking comment on it. You say it's a record no one wants. Logan is in the same position, but isn't the biggest grossing film ever. Are you saying the producers/studio of Logan would rather be in the same Oscar position with it's BO or with over $2bn?

Not a lot, all - sequels, remakes, rip-offs etc. Many even say Abyss is a rip-off of 2010: The Year We Make Contact (but I can't comment on that, I barely remember the film)

The first comic book movie to be nominated for best adapted screenplay was Ghost World in 2001. The second comic book movie to be nominated for best adapted screenplay was A History of Violence in 2005. So Logan was way late in that regard and really accomplished nothing of significance. A small movie, soon forgotten. The historically significant event for comic book (and superhero) movies was, of course, the Black Panther nomination for best picture. Joker must thank Black Panther for paving the way and making it easier for a comic book movie to receive a best picture nod. As far as Endgame is concerned, it will just have to settle for being the all time box office champ. It must be a bummer being #1.

its the highest grossing film ever not to win a single Oscar. let this put to rest that James Cameron is the king of block buster quality art style movie. endgame is atrocious to that. i heard James hated avengers movies?
Avengers: Endgame Has An Oscars Record No One Wants
The king of hearts is the only king in a deck of cards without a moustache...go figure.

even you can't tell me black panther was deserving. I can proudly tell you tdk and logan were deserving for best picture though snubbed, so happy joker got there, which is a movie more in the lines of those movies.
endgame been number 1 that no one wants to remember or is seen as a kids theme park. its quite embarrassing for endgame. just goes to show endgame is not seen as real cinema.

The fact is, neither TDK nor Logan were nominated for best picture. End of story. You don’t pave the way by failing. You can stop with the excuses why they failed. We care not. I can tell you that Black Panther was deserving. How do I know? Just look at the massive list of awards it received outside of the Academy. Clearly it was highly regarded throughout the film industry and your attempt to paint it as an Oscars outlier is simply wrong. Learn to live with it, cupcake. Black Panther made history. TDK and Logan did not. The other fact is - Endgame also made history and reigns supreme in the court of public opinion, via the only vote$$$ that really count. No other superhero movie even comes close. Your butt-hurt opinions (widely regarded as completely worthless) are no match for the simple facts, no matter how many time you parrot them, to no avail.

Black Panther is not even as good as batman begins or days of future past. so how the Heck did it get nominated over TDK and Logan.
yeah keep up the laughs.
MCU fans denying should be your middle name.
