Really llked the hell out of this one (plot holes & all/ don't care its a horror film after all ). I went in with low expectations and left very entertained. Moss is such a terrific actress and gives a damn good performance in this. I can understand how a good amount of folks would dislike the ending but I didn't. I don't usually think highly of horror films in general but I dug this one quite a bit.
8/10

Guys, go watch The Invisible Man this weekend. So fucking good. Like a cross between The Strangers, Upgrade, and Gone Girl. Every year has an underappreciated actress for awards season who does awesome things in a horror movie. 2018? Collette in Hereditary, 2019?-Pugh and Nyong'o in Midsommar and US. This year will be Moss. i agree she is amazing in it. I just wish the movie didnt have a few holes/blind spots/ stupid moments in it. thats what made it different from Hereditary and Midsommar and pary also US.

Wanted to watch it next week now that it comes to theaters here as well. But with the confirmed coronavirus case in my city yesterday is it strongly recommended not to go to any non-essential public events, so I guess that my cinema plans are cancelled.

Saw it yesterday. Very good movie. I don't like a lot of modern horror movies but this is the kind of horror flick that I like.
A little bit longer than it needed to be but otherwise very entertaining.

I didn’t like it. It’s clear Whannell is a talent behind the camera, and I love his action style such as the motion tracking with the awesome hospital fight scene. Very Upgrade-y and a clear trademark style now. But my god the script was so bad. Plot holes were aplenty, which I can usually overlook given I don’t like the “plot hole” complaint but some of the writing was unacceptably bad and downright eye rolling stupid. The music was great though.
4/10.

Saw it yesterday. Very good movie. I don't like a lot of modern horror movies but this is the kind of horror flick that I like. A little bit longer than it needed to be but otherwise very entertaining. Yeah it was better than I expected. Really the only reason it felt a bit long was the trailer gives away the whole movie, so you're just waiting for it to hit the beats you know are coming. It's at its best when it's being more of a psychological thriller as opposed to when it goes full blown action-horror. For example, the standing on the sheet in the bedroom scene is much more riveting than when he's throwing her around the kitchen. The mystery is thrown out the window at that point. I thought it would've worked better as a formula than a suit but I guess they wanted to upgrade (pardon the reference) the story and make it more modern. I didn't like the visuals as the suit was glitching out in the sanitarium fight scenes. Again, the less you show the monster the better. It crossed into hokey horror movie territory with some of those visuals-- also with some of the nonsensical character decisions here and there by pretty much everyone. It wouldn't have been difficult to write this script minus the stupidity displayed throughout, I'll never understand why horror (and it's barely a 'horror' movie) movies rely so heavily on this trope. Predictable ending, but it fit the story so I'm fine with it. Not sure how to rate it. I can't give it more than a 6/10, which isn't bad but is hardly a glowing review. It's definitely worth a watch, I'd say that.

If he does it like he did this one then his version will follow Sister Agatha or something lame like that.

Leigh Whannell's expert direction and clever script make 'The Invisible Man' a remake in the same caliber as Carpenter's 'The Thing' or Cronenberg's 'The Fly.' It's THAT good.
The first must-see horror movie of 2020, The Invisible Man is destined to be a classic, and Elizabeth Moss' incredible performance proves to be impossible to tear your eyes from.

I kept thinking that!!! This remake is right up there with the Thing and The Fly.

Nora Which plot holes bothered you the most? where do i start 1. the fact that the suit seemed to give him superpowers in strenght and speed yet that was never really addressed 2. the idiocy of her going into the attick in that situation 3. the idiocy of her not telling the police immediatelly about the phone and asking to have the location and motion of it tracked 4. the fact that when they delivered the letyer to her at her hideout that Nobody was supposed to know about didnt freak the fuck out of her. I meam that should have been a major plot driver and her sayin: oh fuck i am burned lets get out of here 5. the fact she CAUGHT the knife mid air she did. ridiculous 6. the fact that nobody saw how the sister died 7. the fact she didnt smell or hear him when he was right the especially in small spaces. come on. 8. the dog came back why and how and survived how? 9. how he didnt see her in the wardrobe I mean she was right there, how on earth did she get past him. 10. But the most ridiculous was the institution action scene. i mean all the guys Patiently waited their turns and acted like idiots even though they Could sometime see him and certainly heard him. It felt super unrealistic how it unfolded with him killing So many of them in That fashion. While his suit kept malfunctioning.

I agree with all of those especially with his whole super strength in the suit and the whole institution fight scene got ridiculous real quick. Haha.

It’s The Invisible Man. Sure there were plot holes, but it’s a movie about an invisible man. Did you really expect realism?

Inner logic and consistency within the unrealistic world? Yes.
