I will say the cream of the crop for me is Ghostbusters 2016. Finding someone else who likes this is like finding the lost treasure of Atlantis.

Rocky V and Ghostbusters II. Ghostbusters II is underrated. Never liked Rocky V though. I agree.

I agree with Jason Takes Manhattan. I still have yet to see The Rise of Skywalker but I have to admit my hopes are not high after The Last Jedi. I actually like Last Jedi, but that one seems to have more fans than ROS. I thought it was OK when I first saw it but I started to hate it when I thought about it more. I hated that they turned Luke into a grumpy loser that tried to murder his nephew.

Have not seen the other ones though.

Just curious, but isn't that movie critically acclaimed?

I hated that they turned Luke into a grumpy loser that tried to murder his nephew. I never minded that, because there was a long gap between Return of the Jedi and this movie which could indicate that he’s been through a lot. You could say that it was out of character for him since he didn’t try to murder his father, but again, a lot happened that caused him to change so drastically. It might not have been the best way to go, but at least I understood it. It’s also less derivative as Rise of Skywalker, or even Force Awakens.

You are way off base with that one. None of my friends have ever heard of it and I've never seen anyone here mention it.

Having Luke be the way he is in Last Jedi is not out of the realm of possibility. It's like how soldiers who have always behaved a certain way go to war and become hardened and/or changed from combat and have a personality change. Something profound happened to Luke that made him end up a certain way and give him a change in personality. In the end, it shows he's human like the rest of us.

Jaws 3D X,Y and Zee Roller Boogie The Thing With Two Heads (okay, a definite cult movie, but it usually gets terrible reviews. I thought it was a hoot!) BOOM!

Good topic.
Here's 5 movies I like that tend to get a lot of hate:
A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985)
Creepy sequel with some iconic scenes (like the schoolbus opening) and a neat plot that I like as much as Dream Warriors. It's also one of the scariest installments in the franchise.
Ghostbusters II (1989)
Fun sequel with great comedy and perfect chemistry between the cast members. Yes, the first film was better, but this is still a really entertaining sequel.
Predator 2 (1990)
Great sequel that doesn't try to imitate the first film, opting instead to follow its own path, with an urban setting and a very different kind of lead character. Why this movie gets dismissed so much I'll never understand.
RoboCop 2 (1990)
As grim and nihilistic as the original, with the same dark humour and an intimidating villain in the form of the terrifying RoboCane, I never understood why this movie doesn't get the respect it deserves. I like it at least as much as the original, if not even slightly more.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993)
My brother and I seem to be literally the only people on Earth who enjoy this movie. I love the medieval Japanese setting, the uniqueness of the story-line and the new villains (especially the pirate captain, Walker). It doesn't piggy-back on the first film like Turtles II did. Yes, it has some serious defects, but in no way is it the atrocity most of the world seems to consider it to be.
