Critics hates it than the audience loves it. Critics loves it, than the audience hates it. This is how it seem to be most of the time. Yes, but the critics like it and the audience loves it!!!

WHY is Jim Carrey made-up to look like Bruce Campbell in THIS?! Could you imagine Bruce Campbell as Robotnik? I'd RATHER have BC than JC since I like BC MORE as an actor. Although, I STILL won't go to see this with EITHER.

Saw it earlier today and to my surprise, it wasn't that bad.
It's no masterpiece and it won't win anything major (if anything at all) but for the type of movie it is, it's above average.
The first act does a really nice job at setting and establishing pretty much everything, no matter how ridiculous things might be (based on a video game). The second act is where it gets really clichΓ© and it does slow down but the third act gets back to what the first one gave us so it kinda makes up for it.
The acting is alright but the exchanges do have more punch than what we usually get. The PG rating doesn't allow much for the humor but it does take shots at Amazon and hipsters among other things. Some scenes were also clearly inspired by other well known movies.
Somehow, Jim Carrey seemed like an appropriate choice to fit the tone of the movie.
It's not stellar by any means but I was never bored or wishing I had picked something else to watch.
Despite the fact we all have different personal rating systems, 6/10 would be fair without any stretch.

Could you imagine Bruce Campbell as Robotnik? Audiences often prefer shit, we know this by being surrounded by them most of the time. What are you referring to?
