I once saw an interview with Lucas on tv where a woman interviewer tried to scold George and said "Do you regret putting Leia in that metal bikini?" and he shrugs and says "No, I know what boys like." It my have been Leslie Stahls from 60 Minutes. It was either during the 1997 Special Edition era or prequel era. Help!

No idea. If it was during the Special Edition time period, I only got to see that sort of thing if my bunny ears got the channel the interviews were on.
I do remember watching a few-second-glimpse at the Han/Jabba special edition scene on TV (as an advertisement for the re-release) and being intrigued by it. I remember thinking, 'Wow, how cool! A new scene!' I hadn't known of its existence before that moment. Speaking of...I wonder how Declan Mulholland felt about playing the original human version of Jabba the Hutt? I bet that doesn't exactly boost one's self-worth...

Thing is, the movie was reworked to flow without the scene, so it feels shoehorned in now. I'm glad we got to see it, but the movie works better without it.
