I agree its a decent show but I struggle to get over her doing Cuscak and it not hitting home Even though its a decent impression. Something like opposite of Owen Wilson or Larry David doing Woody Allen. There it stuck. Here it doesnt. And its not the gender thing. I think that had I not seen the movie I would have really enjoyed the show. But this way it just feels like a discount copy, if you know what I mean. I cant decide if I want her to be More Cuscak or More herself...

I love how this update manages to convey something adversely different from the movie.

If they tried to redo either of those stories the actor or actress shouldn't try to be Cusack too much. I'm still interested in seeing this regardless.

Loved the book, enjoyed the movie, but relocating it to the US seemed like a bad decision. The book was a great tragicomedy, I thought the tragic element was sort of lost in translation in the film version.
I'm not sure whether I should watch this new tv version.

Upon thinking about it more I think she should be more herself...

And now Zoe's up in a huff because there's a lack of diversity.

I’m disappointed. I actually really liked the show. It was well made. Not sure why Hulu is bailing after just 1 season.
