This Maximin guy looks exciting for the Toon.
8 changes for Brucies wasters in this one. Obvious 3 points for the Gooners

Saka just misses the top right corner for the Gunners.

Not much of a crowd there in the stands.

The ref there has never officiated at a 0-0 draw before.

The ref there has never officiated at a 0-0 draw before. And he still hasn't 1-0.

MotM for me was Ceballos. Both Emry and Arteta have played him in left midfield and dithered between Torreira and Guendouzi on the right. Against the Toon, Arteta got it right and the Real Madrid player showed what he is about with a number of quality passes to Pepe, Bellerin, and whoever else wandered right. Nothing madly ambitious, just servicing his wide men as a good midfielder should. Very impressive.

They said on MOTD that this was Arsenal’s seventh league win of the season, out of twenty six matches!
That is BRUTAL!

That is down to Wenger losing the plot and Emry not having one

For all Bruce's outbursts, this is unnwatchably turgid from Newcastle. Still. There is absolutely ZERO gusto.

It's Arsenal v a pissed-up Sunday pub team. A great move between Rowe and Saka for the second goal.

Newcastle still ball-watching. You don't want to drive more nails in but this has got to be the worst, most apathetic performance this season, from any team. And there have been some real rotters.

Cedric down the right totally unmolested by a Magpie, takes it to the byline, screws it back to Abermayang who has more space than NASA to finish from close-range. Even Chelsea would get a result against this shower of piss-ants. Are you watching, Alan Shearer? Defend this. But to be fair he has been critical. Newcastle are, to put it bluntly. piss poor. Fair play to Arsenal for not being confused by this non-opposition, it would be easy for a team to stop playing and scratch their heads wondering what the hell is going on, that the visitors must have some deep plan or something. But they've toyed with and punished the visitors all the way.

Newcastle can go home now as the ref has blown up. An insult to their fans, a disgrace. If that non-performance was a team response to Bruce's comments they should have thought about the fans. Or are they thinking of the fans? Maybe the only way to get rid of Bruce is to play even worse than before. I don't know what the f***'s going on up there.

My first good look at Partey. I was quite impressed. Goal-scoring No.9 is required. Too much is being left to Pierre

Not much of a crowd there in the stands. He neglected to foresee no crowds at football, though. Good one, Doc.

They go 5/4 Bruce next to leave 3/1 Lampard, Wilder 12/1 BAR
