An origin movie? Could be interesting. Could be an origin story. Could also be a spin off featuring flashbacks like Black Widow.

Sure, he has a strong personality and charisma to carry a film.

No-because he doesnt look-move like a real raccoon. I see raccoons all the time--they should at least have given him a more raccoon-like body even if he is on two legs. They basically did a humanoid biped and pasted his head on.

The comics version was better.
Cheap Disney products.
Sorry Walt.

An origin film would be interesting, with his first meeting with Groot

Not sure. He thrives with foils, & mostly those he's close with. They'd end up giving him some new buddy which would defeat the idea, or worse, give him nobody to play off of.

No, that'd be ridiculous.

Maybe a movie would be a stretch. I'd take a 3-6 episode tv show though.

Maybe instead of a solo movie, they could try one featuring RR with one or two other characters--Groot and Gamora, perhaps?
I don't know if I could take an entire movie with just RR in it. The story would have to be extra special: comical most of the time, but with one or two poignant moments.

Yes, of all the Guardians, he'd probably make for the best solo movie.

I'd like see a movie where he goes back to his room and finds Giddeon's bible.
(Beatles reference! Ka Pow!)

I'd like see a movie where he goes back to his room and finds Giddeon's bible. (Beatles reference! Ka Pow!) Well his name was inspired by the song. I was looking through some old comics yesterday, discovered I actually own Rocket's first appearance (Marvel Preview #7). What struck me is that I think he was written as British...he seems uses words like "bloody" and "jolly"!
