OK I'm reading her wiki page right now, looks like she's a self described libertarian (and probably a TERF). It doesn't sound like she's a conservative though (she's supported John Kerry, Obama, Jill Stein, and Sanders)

OK I'm reading her wiki page right now, looks like she's a self described libertarian (and probably a TERF). It doesn't sound like she's a conservative though (she's supported John Kerry, Obama, Jill Stein, and Sanders) Paglia is eclectic. I say "conservative" because she opposes much of the gender politics of the feminist movement. She also strongly supports gender roles.

One untold problem and complication with the evolutions of humans, is the differentiation between sex, purely for procreation, and sex for pleasure.
Most animals, even highly evolved mammals STILL rely on non visual non verbal more scent based signals for sexual maturity in potential partners.
Humans, not so much.
A perhaps unwanted side effect of cerebral decision making over pure animal instinct can be - paedophilia and /or child marriage and sexual assault of minors in our current culture.

I'm not clicking on anything about this. I'm assuming we are not talking about older gay men who fancy young gay men, but something darker? When you defend homosexuality you're defending this, whether you realize it or not. I'm not entirely sure what 'this' is, I'm not doing an interwebs search for it. If it is as I suspect, some kind of paedophile group, to blame it on homosexuals is ludicrous... Are heterosexuals responsible for the rape of underage girls? The only person responsible for any rape of a child, or adult, is the rapist themself. No ifs, no buts. The perpetrator alone bears sole responsibility. If on the other hand, it's a support group for men attracted to underage boys, who recognise their problem, and are in some kind of therapy to counter and end their urges, then is there not something positive in that? |
