NFL offseason/free agency/draft thread

Kiper has a LB going 4th to the Giants - and we all thought it was a dead position pretty much.

Wonder if he's one of those 'swiss army knifes' - i.e. you can stick him at Safety too if he's a smaller/quicker LB

What in the fuck? Why do we even need this, I don’t care about seeing them walk across the stage, I just care about seeing who the teams select. 

Why the fuck do they have to try and make a show of this? Just have a camera set up at a podium for Goodell to announce the picks and have some Skype'd in banter about the players. Hell, maybe would could get the picks announced in real time instead of having all this bullshit.

The one great thing I see out of this will be no 2nd and 3rd round "former player" announcing draft picks. That shit was annoying as they'd just ramble on for fucking ever. We're not tuning in for you dude, say the name and get off the stage.

If I had to rank the guys I listed above I'd go like this

Jefferson - I think he's my WR1 in this draft in terms of how he'd fit with the Packers. Scouts say he reminds them of Davante Adams. Two Davante's would be lethal.

Murray - Dude is just a leader. Read an article where he says that he draws strength and inspiration from his adopted siblings who have special needs. That hits me right in the heart and makes him the type of guy you want to root for who has his head on straight. Plus he's a sideline to sideline 3 down ILB.

Josh Jones - Packers need a RT for the future and that guy isn't currently on the roster after letting Bulaga go. They brought in Wagner but meh, not a true solution. Jones didn't give up a sack last year and while the competition wasn't the best he could sit for a year and develop. Then draft a WR like Pittman Jr or Bowden in R2.

Brandon Aiyuk - Dude is a freak athlete with YAC abilities. He'd be the true gadget/slot weapon that the Packers used to have in Randall Cobb but possibly better.

Denzel Mims - He's big and he's fast and he can make some pretty impressive athletic catches on the field plus he's a good route runner which you need to be in GB.

The virtual draft is running into problems already.

I really wish it was Sean McVay complaining about the draft being hacked rather than Harbaugh. Then I could’ve made some shitty “you’d think the Rams would be used to having their intel stolen” joke.

But, yet, you still kinda made it anyway.

Cooks is injury prone, a good player but injury prone and not nearly as good as Hopkins. The Hopkins trade is one of the worst trades in NFL history. I think Billy O lost the locker room and the support of the fans with his trade of Hopkins, I wouldn’t be shocked if he got fired at the end of this season, I think the Texans need to make the playoffs for him to keep his job.
