Alshon Jeffery is pretty much done with the Eagles.
They face a huge cap hit if they can't find a trade partner - which will be hard - he's hurt and owed some coin - they'll likely flat out release him and have to pay a chunk of the coin.
He's had issues with Wentz - rumor has it a big name confronted Jeffery in the lockerroom and told him to keep his mouth shut instead of being the 'unnamed source' which was later confirmed to be Jeffery chirping in the media about his displeasure with Wentz.
He's as good as gone and won't be welcomed back according to numerous media Insiders here - this is after signing a 1 year extension last year.

Eagles rumored to be shopping LT who played some RT Andre Dillard This is extremely disappointing news. Dillard was supposed to replace Hall of Famer Jason Peters - rumors swirling Peters may be back which I did not want to here - he's injury prone and good for 1 crucial holding call, offsides/false start a game That's a quick souring, especially since the coaching staff didn't change this offseason. They'd have to be trading him for a receiver or cornerback who is probably similarly flawed - - and then you need to draft (or pick up in free agency) another tackle anyway. He was asked to play RT for the first time in his life last year stepping in for Lane Johnson - didn't fare too well; however when he had to step in for Peters he did fine IMO.
He had some issues last mini camp - preseason always getting in fights with teammates.
Been stories out there they might try to package him with Jeffery to move up in the draft.
I can't see anybody taking Jeffery - he's getting older and hurt - maybe as sweetener they'd offer Dillard.
I don't like it.
To me - you can never have enough offensive lineman and the kid was asked to play out of position at times last year.

Panthers are trading Trai Turner even up to the Chargers for Russell Okung. Chargers got the better (and younger) player, but Panthers got the more important position.

I'm not anti Tyrod Taylor, but I'd prefer other possibilities. If they draft Tua or Hebert, then I'm cool with Tyrod running things until the kid is ready. Tommy Boy would be awesome, but it would only be a short term deal, and I don't think he's going to the Chargers. I am intrigued by guys like Cam Newton and Andy Dalton though, I think they still have talent. Everything depends on what happens with Brady. If he goes to Niners or Titans, I'd be real happy seeing a Jimmy G or Tannehill coming to LA.

Speculation early on by the likes of Matt Miller that the Panthers are in tanking mode for Trevor Lawrence. Next year should have a solid top 2 in the draft with Lawrence and Fields imo.
Also, Packers expected to move on from Jimmy Graham. THANK GOD! That should free up around 8.5 million in cap space that they could use towards a 2nd weapon for Rodgers or imo ideally a MLB. Cory Littleton, Joe Schobert, Nick Kwiatkowski would all be upgrades over Blake Martinez.

Falcons aren’t bringing back Vic Beasley, making it even more likely they will focus on drafting pass rushers in the draft. The Falcons have struggled with getting pressure on the QB the last couple of seasons and Beasley had been disappointing after his excellent 2016 season. Falcons can't pick an edge rusher for shit. I would rather they not even bother trying than waste another first round pick on one. Bustley had the ability to be great but was too complacent even after he was gifted 13 million for a 5th year. Takk McKinley talked a good game but he has been underwhelming as well although he has been injured and not just lazy like Beasley. Takk did flush the QB a lot but was a few seconds late too often. MAYBE another first round edge rusher who actually loves football would complement Takk enough to either pick up the sacks Beasley never did or flush the QB so Takk could get the sack. Grady Jarret is the best defensive player Atlanta has and he's a beast so perhaps they should draft a DT in the first to pair with him and pressure the QB that way. Of course they front office could sort of retroactively correct the mistake they made when they drafted Beasley. They passed on Georgia RB Todd Gurley to pick Beasley. They need a RB this draft and there's a chance the best RB will still be available at 16 and he happens to be another Dawg. Of course the Falcons have interviewed 15 or more backs during the combine and none of them was named D'Andre Swift.

Eagles let Jason Peters hit FA and will keep Dillard. Good, I’m so sick of seeing Peters get “hurt”.

He had a disappointing year but seemed to turn it around as the year went on.
That being said - he's obviously been declining.
He's stated he isn't going to play unless his contract is reworked.
He's not dumb - I think he sees he's declining as well - wants to rework his deal and get paid via the Eagles - because he knows full well if he hits FA in 2021 - he's kind of a shot player and a shell of his former self.
Let him sit out or rework the deal?
I'd only rework it if it's like a 1 year extension at a reduced rate - they signed Jeffery to an extension last year and look what happened with that.

Eagles appear to be one of the teams Shady could land on per NFL.com.
This has been going on for years now - i.e. rumors of him coming home.
If he's happy being a third banana behind Miles Sanders and Boston Scott - why not if Jordan Howard isn't coming back.

Since Rod Woodson, the Steelers' best cornerback picked in the draft has been Ike Taylor, a pretty good cornerback but I don't think he had one Pro Bowl appearance. They just throw shit on the wall and very little of sticks. After the Artie Burns dumpster fire pick, they just decided to go with free agents and got their best duo of corners in decades with Joe Haden and Steve Nelson (not that either were Pro Bowlers either).

I hope Jenkins walks. I was never as big of a fan as other Eagles fans. I want the entire secondary and line backer group gone. I'm tired of seeing wide open receivers with no Eagles within 10 yards of him.
In fact, I am so sick of this team, I want everyone but Wentz, Ertz, and Sanders gone and even Ertz is starting to piss me off. It's not a coincidence that his play declined once the grumbling started about him wanting more money.

Rivers to the Colts seems the first domino.
Then Brissett signs with the Patriots to be Brady's backup & eventual starter.
And all this Brady to the Raiders nonsense becomes a bad meme.

You're going to get your wish - at least with linebacker
It's a changing position nowadays anyway. Bradham is already gone and rumor has it Grugier-Hill is gone.
It's been a weakness for years. Miss the days of the Joyners, Byron Evans and Trotters of the world but those days are long gone.
It's one of the reasons I wanted to Eagles to trade for Minkah Fitzpatrick - he's a Swiss Army Knife - could put him at LB, Safety and CB - pretty much the way the secondary is going - kind of like hoops where we've moved into positionless ball.
That's why in the draft I want them to load up on big physical athletic 'Swiss Army Knives' - i.e. you can switch some from CB to Safety and others from Safety to LB if they're big and physical enough (but also quick enough to cover TE's and slot receivers).
I've brought this up numerous times - I hope they do what they did in the 2002 Draft where they nabbed Lito, Sheldon and Michael Lewis.
