1. The Houston Astros should be stripped of their 2017 World Series and ALCS Titles which would then both be declared "vacant". 2. The Houston Astros should be ordered to immediately return the 2017 World Series and ALCS Trophies. 3. George Springer should be ordered to immediately return his 2017 World Series MVP Trophy. 4. Justin Verlander should be ordered to immediately return his 2017 ALCS MVP Trophy. 5. The Astros should be ordered to immediately take down their 2017 World Series Championship Banner/Flag (whatever they put up) and destroy it. 6. All of the Astros Players and Personnel from the 2017 Team should be ordered to immediately return their World Series and ALCS Championship Rings. 7. All of the Astros Players and Personnel from the 2017 Team should each be fined exactly whatever amount of money it was that they made for winning the 2017 ALCS and World Series. 8. The Astros should be ordered to immediately pay to Each of the 3 Teams that they beat in the 2017 Playoffs (Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, and Los Angeles Dodgers) whatever amount of money it was that they made for winning both the 2017 ALCS and World Series. --------------------------------
What does everybody else here think of that ?

Sadly it's done. What 2017 title is vacant?
Dodgers can't claim it.
LEAVE THE ASTROS ALONE..😥😥😥

Being managed now by Dusty Baker could be punishment enough.

Yeah, I can just imagine the reactions that the Astros will get when they are on the road (especially at Yankee Stadium).

I absolutely think the World Series title should be rendered "vacant." Let them keep their rings and whatever, they don't mean anything. But the fact they were not punished is just mind boggling. There is literally nothing stopping from another team from doing this. It's like when the steroid thing first started and there was NO punshment. You think MLB would have learned from that. But nope. It's a sport run by morons.

Definitely not enough to dissuade someone who wants to win at all costs.

Additionally, I think they should each, one at a time, have to live with Joe Rogan for a month. No help from wives or kids, just each Astro living with Joe Rogan for a month, and Rogan is on the all meat all the time diet for the duration.

That Punishment was (to me at least) so freaking soft that it doesn't even qualify as a slap on the wrist.

Would this be enough?
"At his trial, Gérard was sentenced to be brutally – even by the standards of that time – killed. The magistrates decreed that the right hand of Gérard should be burned off with a red-hot iron, that his flesh should be torn from his bones with pincers in six different places, that he should be quartered and disemboweled alive, his heart torn from his bosom and flung in his face, and that, finally, his head should be taken off. Gérard's torture was also very brutal. On the first night of his imprisonment Gérard was hung on a pole and lashed with a whip. After that his wounds were smeared with honey and a goat was brought to lick the honey off his skin with his rough tongue. The goat however refused to touch the body of the sentenced. After this and other tortures he was left to pass the night with his hands and feet bound together, like a ball, so sleep would be difficult. During the following three days, he was repeatedly mocked and hung on a pole with his hands tied behind his back. Then a weight of 300 metric pounds (150 kg) was attached to each of his big toes for half an hour.
After this half hour Gérard was fitted with shoes made of well-oiled, uncured dog skin; the shoes were two fingers shorter than his feet. In this state he was put before a fire. When the shoes warmed up, they contracted, crushing the feet inside them to stumps. When the shoes were removed, his half-broiled skin was torn off. After his feet were damaged, his armpits were branded. After that he was dressed in a shirt soaked in alcohol. Then burning bacon fat was poured over him and sharp nails were stuck between the flesh and the nails of his hands and feet. Gérard is said to have remained calm during his torture. On 14 July 1584, Gérard was executed."
Balthazar Gerard, the assassin on William the Silent, founder of Dutch independence. Think of the assassin of George Washington.

The 40 lashes minus one. I will explain this esoteric reference. No one will be left out I assure you. "Five times my own people gave me 39 lashes with a whip," says Paul in his second letter to the Christian church in Corinth. The Law of Moses had determined that 40 lashes was the least number to kill a person. So, 39 lashes is the most a convict can be given who is not under the sentence of death.

The team itself would save itself a century of grief if they actually stripped themselves of their 2017 WS. That would be much bigger than having the league do it for them.
