Aww, no chuckles from this scene?
My birth year certainly was a shit year for movies. Can't make a full top 10, but some dishonorable mentions:
Critters 3 (featuring Leonardo DiCaprio) Nothing But Trouble (featuring 2Pac) Problem Child 2 Hook Child's Play 3 Freddy's Dead

I am a fan of Hook. It is wonderfully creative and filled with fun scenes and moments. Child's Play 3 is actually my second favorite of the franchise. Hot Shots! has some funny parts. Largely it is unfunny to me though. The motorcycle scene is hilarious, but it is basically all downhill from there. Hot Shots! Part Deux is funny though.

Just out of curiosity, what did you dislike about The Commitments?

Just out of curiosity, what did you dislike about The Commitments? I knew that was going to be mentioned. I don't care at all about the story and the characters are completely boring and unlikable. The movie just fails to be interesting on any level to me. This is a case of a movie that I can understand why other people like it, but it doesn't connect with me at all. It isn't a bad movie in the way Drop Dead Fred is, it is a bad movie in that it is very boring because I have no investment in anything that is happening.

It is a stock story (underdog performers make good). I wouldn't like any movie where I didn't care about the characters either.

I should say the screenplay I don't care for, not the story (if you define story in a generic sense like "The Commitments is an underdog rock band story.") I like Sing Street (2016), which has that same basic stock story but does everything much better imo.

Especially when Rufio and the Lost Boys come in.

The rufio introduction is actually one of the scenes I dislike though. I like how odd Nothing But Trouble is. It is an unfunny comedy, but a truly creepy movie. I'll be honest here. I haven't seen Nothing But Trouble since I was 13, but I have nostalgic memory of it. Child's Play 3 is silly horror fun and one of the few Child's Play sequels that is fun imo. Child's Play 2 is a borefest. Child's Play 3 I watched for the first time just 2 years ago.

Lots and lots of Bad Movies in each year of the ‘90s. A terrible decade. Hard to pick just 10 – but here are some significant losers of 1991, though not all of them by a long shot.
Necessary Roughness F/X 2 Silent Night Deadly Night 5: The Toy Maker Bikini Island Curse III – Blood Sacrifice Liquid Dreams Mannequin II: On The Move Meet the Applegates Puppet Master II Totally Exposed

I added that to my list. I missed it when looking through the movies from 1991.

Have you ever seen Highlander 2: The Renegade Version? It's still not a good movie, but at least it removes all the references to the immortals being aliens.

Hudson Hawk Flight of the Intruder Billy Bathgate Rodney Dangerfield Monsters I love Hudson Hawk, it's completely bonkers. I remember it was marketed as a serious heist thriller, audiences must've been pissed in the theater. I caught it on cable and thought it was hilarious.
