Well.....She's definitely changed since the last time we saw her 20 years ago.
LOL, I suspect that I am going to get attacked for saying this but I am actually okay with how she has changed over the last 20 years.

I was never a fan of her on Voyager but I am willing to give her a chance. I thought we would have had more cameos by now, but there hasn't been, so I'm actually kind of relieved to see her character. Now if they can just make her appearance make sense.

I myself am actually okay that they aren't bringing back all of the characters from the previous series (that we know will be on this show) back right away and that they are actually really taking their time with it. I actually think that it's smart not to rush things like that.
Plus, This show is about Jean-Luc Picard and so I understand if they don't want to do anything that would take a majority of his time on the show away from both him and audiences and have it be on the returning characters instead. This show is supposed to be about Picard.
That being said....
Please don't get me wrong though, It is most definitely great to see these characters again (Picard, Seven of Nine, Data, Hugh, and even what's left of B-4) and we still have Riker and Troi (who apparently are now parents) to do in this Season and Guinan in Next Season.

Well, I don't think we would be able to see Data again since he is gone now unless the show actually somehow finds a way to bring him back to life which I myself think would be Freaking Awesome (I wouldn't care how, I would just be happy that Data would be back again).

That Icheb cameo was Brutal and Sad.
I am glad though that Seven later avenged him.

I remember Icheb, I liked his character; so it kind of pissed me off they killed off his character so casually. His implant harvesting was gratuitous. And while yeah, 7 and Icheb were close and she took on a sort of parental role with him, this took it to a level I didn't think made sense. Her wanting revenge, even acting on it, yes, but the whole, "my child" and "closest thing to kin" felt really weird.
I'm ambivalent about 7's involvement with "the Rangers". "Fenris Rangers" sounds more like a Power Rangers team than law enforcement. The thought did occur to me that given Chakotay's background with the Maquis, it might be plausible that 7 isn't the only one fighting the good fight in lawless space.
All in all though, I'm over this darkest-timeline bullshit.

Guinan: the most useless character in Star Trek history.
Guinan is awesome and a far far better conselor than Troi ever was. Not surprising those two hate a Black Character like Guinan and call her useless.

One of her appealing characteristics was her great figure. It was not on display in Picard.
She used to wear a brightly colored, form fitting body suit. Now she wears dark baggy clothes.
