A British band that made it big Stateside, still going strong. Cy Curnin leads, he did some work with Tina Turner I believe.

Good band. I first saw them here in Florida in 1986 when they opened for The Moody Blues. Then again in 1987 when they opened for Robin Trower. At that point, they had released four albums.
Maybe it's the echo of the auditorium, but this one sounded particularly good in concert.

Only know the very early stuff when they were like a bad Japan covers band.

Finally got a hold of their 1983 album Reach the Beach, and had them on wait for a long while, often "confusing" them a little with Squeeze, probably because both bands where british new wave acts, heard them first through the awesome GTA: Vice City soundtrack, at least while playing the game, as somehow none of them ended up on the CD boxset, which contained most of the songs and music from the game.
Anyway, One Way Leads To Another is hell of a way to open an album with, and Saved by Zero has a similar but more lush or atmospheric style, which I really liked, but sadly a few too many fillers, and some which get ruined by awful overuse of cheesy synths. However, the best song for me, came at the end, with the fantastic Outside, and wished they had done a bit more of that kind of material, felt a bit like very slow downed The Police meets some of the similar reggae-synth rock attempts by Rush.
The guitar outro is truly the big highlight for me from that record. Will most likely check up a few of their others albums sometime later on.

One of my favorites.
