Homemade. But fast food ones have those secret combinations of ingredients, preservatives and additives that make them uniquely tasteful.

Catman used to make his own vegan burgers. Tasty but quite labor intensive, so when a viable commercial product became available, he gave up his homemade creations.

I tend to rotate my choices so I don't get tired of the same thing. Each one has its own special flavor. Sometimes I want a Five Guys, other times a Whataburger. Lately it's been a Sonic burger. Homemade means I don't have to get dressed and drive somewhere.

By "homemade" do you mean actually making the burger patty from scratch, or just grilling frozen patties that you bought at the supermarket?
I can't even remember the last time I did the former, but yes, I suppose I would prefer that to any fast-food burger. The latter, meh, I don't know if the result is worth the effort.

Fatburger's taste exactly like my mother's homemade ones. So I like those.
Burgers are something I would never make at home. I get hankerings for McDonald's Quarter Pounder with Cheese or their Big Mac. Also Y Not Burger is great. Also I like the standard cheeseburgers you get at those Greek-owned charbroiled places, especially with chili cheese.

I hate the taste of a well done burger. You can't really beat making yourself a perfect medium burger dressed exactly how you like it.

I prefer homemade, but I can enjoy an occasional FF burger.
I often make a burger on Saturday, which is a hold over from my childhood. Dad made burgers on Saturdays, and we kids got to eat on tray tables, and watch TV. I buy the meat, and make several patties at a time, so most often I just thaw one - very convenient.
