Hope a thread like this doesn't already exist.
Two off the bat. Nigel Green. Died in the early 70s. Stole any movie scene he was in, whether his co-star was Richard Burton or a giant bronze man, or Michael Caine or Vincent Price (well, that may be one exception since he didn't talk much).
I suspect if he had lived he would have got the R.S.M. Sandy Young part in the Wild Geese.
Another is Ann Dusenberry.
Perhaps most famous for the line:
"Shhhhshhhshhshhhshhhhaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrkkkkkkk!" from Jaws 2.
I think I read she was considered for the Laurie Strode part in Halloween, but too bad she didnt do more because she had star quality. Looks like she was mostly doing tv work before calling it quits in the early 90s.

Agreed big time on Bruce Campbell. I know he still acts, and has had substance abuse problems, but I had high hopes for Edward Furlong after "Terminator 2." He seemed like a natural to me. She had a great run for sure with the "X-Files," but I wish I saw more of Gillian Anderson. Could probably say the same for David Duchovny too.

I was thinking the other day, what took Dwayne Johnson so long? He's always been poised to be the next Schwarzenegger, but I feel like it took 10 years longer than it should have. Was it that he was picking terrible projects, or the public wasn't ready accept a new Arnold yet? Seems like anything he touches these days becomes a hit.

Seems like he's in everything these days...and that's alright with me. He's got a very likable presence and seems like he tries to do his best with whatever he's given. I can't think of something he's done that seems phoned in. Anyone who's not seen "Pain and Gain," he turns in a great comedic performance. He's totally the next Arnold.

Some time ago I watched an episode of the 1955 TV anthology series "Stage 7", the episode titled "End of the Line". Maria Riva was great in the episode, she had star quality. Imagine my shock to find out she never was given any film roles during the 1950s. She did get to appear on great TV series like "Studio One", so she must have had a good deal of exposure. But her career pretty much ended in 1958. BTW, she was the daughter of Marlene Dietrich.

John Cazale. He only starred in 5 movies before his unfortunate death. He might be the only actor with 100% great movies in his filmography

I think Pierce Brosnan and Catherine Zeta Jones deserved much better careers.
Niether is a great thespian but they are very charismatic and fun to watch.

She's still working. Same with Pierce.

William Petersen - His performances in To Live and Die in L.A., Manhunter, and even Young Guns II, really impressed me. He had an incredible screen presence that convinced me he would be one of the great ones. Sadly, I was wrong.

Katey Sagal. Her performance from Sons of Anarchy. Holy Jesus how she was brilliant as Gemma and won GG for best actress in TV drama series in 2011. She also played excellent comedic character from Married with Children. I saw her episode from The Big Bang Theory, she's pretty in it, but her character and acting was weak. I saw her scene from Superior Donuts which is a new show, she sucks. I feel bad for her that she appeared in one or a few episodes from a lot of shows. She deserves way more than that, and needs a big projects. But however, she's very hot when she's 60-years-old woman. I agree with other users about Bruce Campbell. Exprct, Evil Dead series, he needs some big projects.

Yes but Still expected more for her, a second oscar but this time as leading actress and Pierce now is only doing supporting roles though maybe if he is successful with the sun things might get better.

Michael Biehn. Most definitely. After Terminator I thought he would be BIG. He has done a few things and in my opinion is versatile, he can play a good villain as well as hero. I always loved this guy and I have to admit I think he's smokin' hot (even now). He probably produces/directs for all I know.
