This shot of Harrison Ford transcends space and time.

Temple of Doom actually did something different and darker. It's so much fun I can even look past Capshaw's annoying performance. I like short round. The scene with the heart is one of the great scenes in film as far as I'm concerned and that blink and you'll miss him Dan Aykroyd appearence is awesome.
I like them in order of release actually.
I have two big problems with The Last Crusade - the cinematography is kind of ugly and it has TOO much in common with Raiders. I mean the villain even has a similar death.

And Mola Ram was a really scary villain!!! The music of TOD is also better than TLC. The "Parade of the Slave Children" is a great piece by Williams.

The villains in The Last Crusade are completely forgettable. I'll take Cate Blanchett over the villains in The Last Crusade in fact.

Last Crusade for me...easily.. TOD I've always thought was terrible. I'd actually rather re-watch Crystal Skull than TOD

Toss-up between TOD and Last Crusade. Last Crusade edges it out because I really liked the chemistry between Harrison Ford and Sean Connery. I do agree about the villains being forgettable. Crystal Skull had an interesting premise...but I just couldn't stand Shia LeBeouf. I've seen him in good performances...I don't hate the guy and his body of work like some, but he was painful in Crystal Skull. Also, I remember startling the woman seated in front of me at the theatre when I belly laughed at the CGI alien in the climax.

This shot of Harrison Ford transcends space and time. A great shot indeed! If I'm not mistaken, I believe that entire fight sequence was shot with Ford's double as he was undergoing back surgery. Later when he returned, Spielberg took a few close-up shots of him and edited together the entire scene.

I give all 3 a B+
Temple wins here by default - Ford at his physical peak, amazing set pieces, & it's the most Indiana Jones'ish of the franchise. Crusade is more intelligent but the villain & female lead are dumb, + the leads really play older & slower. Skull is fun like Temple, but tries too hard.

I'm going with "Last Crusade". Sean Connery makes that one work as well as it does.

Last Crusade by a hair. The action is just so good. Temple of Doom took the franchise in a new direction, yet kept the feel of an Indiana Jones movie, so it's a close second. The action is great in ToD as well.

The Last Crusade is actually my favorite of the trilogy. Connery and Ford have great chemistry together, and all the action set pieces are wonderful: the circus train, the tank chase, the boat chase, the zeppelin, etc.
I really enjoy Temple of Doom as well, but it cannot beat Last Crusade.
What is this "Crystal Skull" thing on the poll? Must be a mistake.

Temple of Doom. I just simply prefer the dark tone over Crusade's campiness.
