The first name, or face I could think of, when I saw this thread, was of course that lovely and sweet charming one who belonged to John Candy. When I think of "nice" faces, I don't mean pretty or sexy, but those that have that certain comforting, trustful and warm look, that makes you feel alright, and even if you had a bad day or something like that, and whenever I pop in one of John Candy's movies, he just has that feel-good friendly impact on me, always did. Since I already brought up a bit of Talk Talk in the favorite album thread, I have to say, that Mark Hollis had one of the loveliest smiles in any of the music videos I have ever seen. I guess it is even more impressive, having so often read that he truly hated making music videos back then. So, either he really had a fantastic time there and then, or he did an incredible job of "faking" it, but I would like to think it was his real way of expressing his feelings. Thank you for saying that. I agree. A lot of posters kinda seem that they are choosing people with attractive facial features or who they find hot. I mean I love Elizabeth Taylor and think she was the most beautiful woman in the world, but I would never choose her for this list because she doesn't have that sweet, warm, endearing face of somebody like John Candy or Gilda Radner. These are two people who when you see them, there is just something in their face, their eyes, their smiles that makes you want to smile back. I interpreted the OP the same way you did.

I've always thought Dirk Benedict was handsome. But I had an unpleasant experience with him at a b-movie convention, that was kind of upsetting. Mr. Benedict did not like me very much!

Very nice pick. Lee Remick had great basic appeal.

I've always thought Dirk Benedict was handsome. But I had an unpleasant experience with him at a b-movie convention, that was kind of upsetting. Mr. Benedict did not like me very much! What did he do to you or say? Dirk was there to greet (for the most part) his "Battlestar Galactica" fans. Probably some "A-Team" fans, too. But not goofy, clueless me. I was in line to tell Mr. Benedict that he was on two of my favorite episodes of "Charlie's Angels" and, as he played opposite Cheryl Ladd in one of them, what was it like working with her. There were three guys in front of me in line, big fans of BG. DB was clearly eating it up. Except for me and my friend who came along for the ride (zero interest in the convention), there were no other people at DB's booth. The guys were obviously having a great time chatting with their guy Dirk and they must have been there for 20 minutes, which is longer than the usual celebrity-fan chats at these convos. I should have just left, but I just HAD to say something to this person who had appeared on my all-time favorite tv show TWICE. Benedict would of course have noticed me and my friend just waiting there in line and maybe he was getting irritated by our presence. When his BG fans left, DB stood up and looked like he wanted to go stretch his feet. He didn't make eye contact or acknowledge my presence in any way. It was awkward. But after all that time waiting in line, I really didn't want to just turn around and leave. I really didn't know how to handle it, so I just blurted out "I loved your two appearances on "Charlie's Angels"!!! (Yes, I was a geek!) Without looking at me, DB just said "So, you're the one." And with that, he and his manager walked away. Hmmmmm.... It was borderline humiliating and while I probably should have just left the line fifteen minutes earlier, DB was pretty rude. Oh well, most of my convention experiences have been good ones. And most celebrities don't get offended when you mention something they did that is less well-known. During the "Nightmare on Elm Street" convention weekend, I got to meet John Saxon, Ronee Blakley and Amanda Wyss. I told Saxon how much I enjoyed the episode of "Mary Tyler Moore Show" he appeared on. He was cool and shared a back story on the filming of the episode. I told Wyss how much I liked an afterschool special she did where she played the daughter of alcoholic Bonnie Bartlett. It took a moment for it to register with her, but when it did, she got a big smile on her face. She said thank you and that nobody ever asked her about that show. (Nice!) I asked Ronee Blakley about "Nashville" (how could I not?) and asked her to sign my paperback novelization. Miss Blakley was friendly and super personable. Possibly to the point of quirkiness, but I love that in people. Me and another friend were the only two people at her booth, so we got to have a nice visit. And Dork Benedict need not have felt insulted by the CA comment. Because another time, I got to meet Sid Haig (I shared this story with you a looooong time ago, Toasty) and I asked Mr. Haig about HIS appearance on CA, specifically working with Jaclyn Smith. Haig was not necessarily enthusuastic about my inquiry (lol), but he seemed okay with it. His reply that Ms. Smith was very cold towards him. I half-jokingly told him he was too much man for her. It was meant to be a compliment, partly anyway, but I don't remember him breaking a smile or anything. I think Sid Haig was the reserved type. But he was cool. Toasted Cheese, I loved your analysis of Jaclyn Smith's personality regarding her reaction towards Haig. Do you remember what you said? (This was back in the Rascal/Drink Same Fountain days!)
