Which one of these is your favorite? It was a pretty fun genre, coupling some very big stars with some mystery, a little comedy, and thrills thrown in. I recently watched Blindfold, which was a fun movie, but I think my favorite is still Charade.

Off the top of my head, I am going to say "Family Plot" (1976).

Oh, this is scary. I responded to this thread about 40 minutes, ago. Evidently, I forgot one little step ... posting it. I don't expect that it gets any easier, from here on out. Anyway ... I had voted for Charade, which I love. I saw Arabesque in the theater, and remember little about it. And, I don't think I've even heard of Blindfold. I have some viewing to do, and I'm sure it will be most enjoyable! This time ( NOTE TO SELF: POST IT!), I rescinded my vote for Charade, in favor of "other," and throwing Gambit (1966), with Shirley MacLaine and Michael Caine, into the mix. Good topic!

CHARADE
but I like Arabesque not sure if I've seen Blindfold - think I did but too long ago.
Do North By Northwest, The 39 Steps and To Catch a Thief qualify in this category? Much humour in Hitch.

Charade … Even when you know all the twits and turns and secrets it's a great film on too many levels to count !
For optimal enjoyment: BE sure to see it the FIRST time in a state of totally un-spoilered-ness !

Charade is my favourite. I enjoy Arabesque too. Have not seen Blindfold, will have to look it up.

Going back to the classic age, there is the Thin Man series. Mystery. Comedy. Romance (even if the couple is already married).

MOMENT TO MOMENT 1965
a delicious faux Hitchcock involving a bored wife, absent husband, handsome sailor, passion adultery, guilt, a gunshot, a dead body that disappears and comes back to life, a child witness, flashbacks, amnesia, a travelogue of Nice, Givenchy, Balmain, La Colombe D'Or restaurant, & Henry Mancini

I voted Charade, since I think it's a bit edgier than the other two.
