It's amazing how boring Hollywood has become.
It used to be that a remake announcement would at least be vaguely intriguing but now it is tedious.

This remake was announced back in 2011. For now, Mel Gibson is on for director. Three actors are rumored to be in negotiation to appear: Michael Fassbender, Jamie Foxx, and Peter Dinklage. Perhaps the producers should take a second look at the returns on 2016’s The Magnificent Seven before going ahead. In Magificent, the names of all the characters, their personalities, as well as the motive of the main bad guy were changed for the update. I picked a cast to correspond with the original but the new one - if it comes off - will probably be completely different.
