Although it is often reported that A Clockwork Orange was 'banned' in the United Kingdom, the removal of the movie was actually Kubrick's own choice. ... The association of real-world acts of violence with the movie was deeply upsetting for Kubrick, and he decided to pull A Clockwork Orange from the British market.
Can you think of any other examples?

The robbery method in MONEY TRAIN was replicated for real-someone set fire to the conductor in the locked compartment.
Also the method of murdering a prostitute in MAGNUM FORCE was also copied.

When The Program was released in 1993, the film included a scene in which college football players attempted to prove their toughness by lying on the yellow dividing line of a street as vehicles whizzed past them on either side. The studio apparently never anticipated that their main target audience for the movie, impressionable teenagers, would get the idea of copying the stunt. After two deaths and several injuries, the scene was cut from theatrical showings and home video versions of the movie.
