Now that "SHOWGIRLS" is about 25 years old (it came out in I believe September of 1995 which would actually make it really 'almost' 25 years old which is still kind of hard to believe), What do you think of that Movie now looking back on it ?
Do you still feel the same way that you did about it 25 years ago or Do you now think of it in a different way ?
--------------------------
Now I myself first saw it back in 1996 and I thought that it was just strange and surprising.
Now a days (and I know that I have said this a dozen times already when it comes to what I myself think of the Movie), I actually consider "SHOWGIRLS" to be 1 of those very rare types of Movies that are just so bad that they are actually enjoyable to watch.
What about everybody else here ?

Well I wouldnt put it a category that is that bad. Because compared to the bad film I seen its a masterpiece. Films like Birdemic, Manos, Saving Christmas, Loving the Bad Man and Ax'Em are my favorite awful films but Showgirls is in more of a different category. Its a cheesy film with pretty silly dialog but at least its an entertaining one. So yes and no.

I have heard of "BIRDEMIC" but I have not heard of any of those other Movies. Are they all pretty bad ?

Always thought Elizabeth Berkley looked nasty exposing her flat ass.

I think the same now as then, it's wank material. It's the kind of movie you watch all the way through once and after that you just FF to the good parts.

At the time, I was thinking "wow, Jesse Spano gets naked in this movie". Was satisfied after seeing it. Don't have to watch the movie again.

I think that is one of the coolest and most clever movie posters I have ever seen and it's too bad the rest of the movie does not live up to its coolness and cleverness. I gotta admit that I really like the scenes with that large and in charge woman who would come out and tell jokes at the Cheetah Club and it was always fun to watch her flash her tits with the way the top of the dress moved. Sure, the jokes were really bad but she was still funny in the way she was.

Gotta love the gay guy yelling, "Thrust it!" over and over again when she already is! LOL
Now I'm no pro dancer but do they really pick up on it that fast?

Well okay, "timeless classic" is definitely an exaggeration, but I still like Showgirls.

Hated it then; still hate it. Berkley couldn't act her way out of a paper bag. A lot of gratuitous sex scenes, probably put in thinking it would bolster her career. Let's face it - there was a LOT of bad acting in that silly film.

It's really bad. And not in a fun, kitschy way. Didn't think much of it then and didn't enjoy on my most recent rewatch (last summer).
