My wife just learned that she will start teaching in the fall from home. THAT should make everyone thrilled. Does she have a separate office in the house where she can work from? Lucky for her, she can do work with distractions - - the distractions being my 9 and 5 year old. But this will be a different animal going from knowing the kids prior to social distancing to starting the semester that way.

My company wanted to give me dual monitor with a complete system. I declined saying that I can work on laptop. In reality I didn't agree to take them because then I would have had to sit on chair and work on table. Currently I work from my bed.......talk about laziness. Even Zoom meetings I do from bed although then I at least sit properly instead of lying down. The day lockdown will be lifted I will walk for 3 or 4 hours at least.

She has been online teaching her class from home for weeks now. She says it's like herding cats keeping all the kids up to scratch and up to date 😉

So amongst the four of us we're all home. All the time. I haven't gone through a half of tank of gas in 7.5 weeks. Personally, I'm blaming coronavirus on dogs. My dog is loving life right now.

(Yep, it seems animals --- both wild and domesticated --- are benefitting from this pandemic.)

Makes no odds to me 🤷♀️ My life didn't change after lockdown, and it won't change when it ends...

Idiotic people though .. who are out all the hours congregating with their equally thick pals and not wearing masks (makeshift or otherwise.) People like that are no doubt responsible for thousands of CV deaths now and in the future.

My co-worker's wife is a nurse at the local hospital - she was sent into Short-time working for there is no work to do.
They postponed all surgeries in order to prepare for the Covid19-wave, but there was none, not a single patient. Furthermore many people stay at home and are afraid to go to the hospital. Both, the postponed surgeries, and the ill people who dare not to visit the hospital, put people in danger - for nothing.
Great job Merkel, Söder and Spahn:
Nurses and doctors have no work Hospitals get into financial struggles Patients do not received needed treatment Sick people do not see the doctor and might postpone the visit till it is to late
Merkel at her best.

It's how I live with my mental health issues... I get stressed around people. I either shut down, or manically talk and stutter at folk. It was more a comment on my social isolation prior to the virus.

Wish she'd been in charge here. We have clown shoes Johnson and co. and a death toll 5 times higher than a significantly larger Germany.

I actually see myself in your cartoon too.

Internationally, most people consider Germany to be one of the few success stories when it comes to handling the pandemic.

These are in my house now. Saw them early this morning. I couldn't not buy them. Not sure how limited they are anywhere else but I've never personally seen them in Canada.

UK government trialling virus contract tracing app on the Isle of Wight.
To be rolled out to the whole country, and lying to people telling them it's their duty to use it.
However, they refuse to put in to law that data will be anonymous and used ONLY in respect of the virus.
It's a no from me 👎

However, they refuse to put in to law that data will be anonymous and used ONLY in respect of the virus. It's a no from me 👎 India launched such an app in March and it has been highly praised by Bill Gates. I do not know if it really helps develop more awareness but the reviews were positive. Meanwhile here is my review of how India is doing - India so far has not done as well as the East Asian countries nor as bad as the European countries but it has been somewhere in the middle. But my state (which is the hotspot of Corona in India) has been the worst performer so far in the country. I had initially predicted 72,000 deaths in India and so far we have had 1,889 deaths. But the problem is that my state holds a lot of migrants and many of them will return to their home states when the lockdown ends on 17th May. Then I fear a massive wave of new infections across India. I hope it doesn't happen. And I am now mentally exhausted by this strict lockdown. I wish this terrible WFH ends and I get to work from my office and meet my friends. But Mumbai (the biggest hotspot of India) will probably remain in lockdown till June I guess. So it seems I can just forget about seeing a normal world. I will fall in a massive depression at if it doesn't become normal soon.

AC developed some problem yesterday and ceiling fan makes a lot of noise. Got headache because of that and told my boss that I won't be working today. It's terribly uncomfortable without AC don't know if I can find a mechanic to fix it during the lockdown.
