British people are morons. They need to be forcibly locked down it seems. They can't be trusted to be responsible. I should point out it's no just Brits who are fecking eejits. The Gardai went in to a pub in Cork they suspected was still operating. They found half empty glasses about the bar. A search of the premises found men hiding in a walk in cold store. The men told the Gardai they were shite scared of the old Covid 19, and thought they would be safe in a fridge. Not sure I believe them 🤔 |

The truth is, if you disinfect your home --- the doorknobs, the remote controls, the phones, the light switches --- and you don't go out to public places --- like you are supposed to --- you don't really need that much hand sanitizer or soap.

There is no vaccine coming in April or June. The WHO just told people today to be realistic... A universal vaccine is AT LEAST a year away. |

Just heard it explained...
The infection rate doubles roughly every 3 days.
5,000 infected in the UK today... That equals 5 million in 3 weeks time.
There are now 2 human mutations of Covid 19... One of them is killing younger people as well (age 20-40).

I reckon you're right unless it takes hold on the African continent and may be India I am scared at the thought of the numbers suddenly spiking to millions in India. This is an extremely overpopulated country and we have almost no sense of hygiene. Although the concern in people has been good/appreciable, I don't feel that's all going to save. How would all self-isolate when 4 or 5 people in many families live in the same room? or sometimes when many families themselves live in the same house. So far I give the government a good rating for screening foreign tourists from the very early (much earlier than Europe and US) but there are just one 111 test centres in a country of 1330 millions. So I give government a bad rating on not being able to create more test centres. I am just hoping for a miracle. May be that deadly heatwave where temperatures increase to close to 50C? But that happens in mid May so it's still a long time away. All in all, I am just hoping somehow India survives this carnage. As a matter of fact O hope the whole world survives this. But wishes and dreams are one thing and reality is something else.

Which is why everyone should be doing it where humanly possible. The very vulnerable are getting a letter this week telling them not to leave home AT ALL or have ANY face to face contact for 3 months. I'm shiting it man... Doctor friend thinks I'll just be in vulnerable category and be ok, not in very vulnerable letter receiving group, so still able to go out away from other people. |
