No, that's wrong. My odds of contracting it if I come in contact with it are 50/50. 0 percent if I successfully practice self isolation and social distancing. If I contract it, I have a 50 percent chance of either getting sick, or experiencing no symptoms at all. If I do get sick, there is only a 20 percent chance I will need hospitalization. And if I need hospitalization, there is only a 4 percent chance I will die. I have a better chance of dying in a car accident. It's all about you isn't it. We don't all drive around in invisible vehicles, leaving us & anyone/everyone around us susceptible to invisible car collisions... only to learn about them up to 14 days afterwards. I'm not even responding directly to you cuz I just blocked you, yet I do think the prudent messaging from health & scientific leaders can't be stressed enough. No. It's not all about me. As I have said repeatedly, I support social distancing and self isolation.

Just came back from the supermarket. Bare shelves - giant line leading/splitting off to 2 cashiers as a customer service rep directed traffic keeping everybody 6 feet apart. Old folk lost in the aisles. Felt for the poor workers with face masks on - poor girl who checked me out was getting berated for not wiping down the belt properly - couldn't have been more than 18 years old - had tears in her eyes as she looked at the long line backed up to the produce section. Place was filled with hot soccer moms though I generally shop at Giant but I’m finding Wegmans and Walmart are doing better jobs of restocking. That's where I went - Giant
Getting cabin fever - might take a ride out west to Malvern and Downingtown and then Lancaster where there's some Wegman's out there.
Might cheer me up to look at the landscape of all the farmland in Lancaster

There’s also Wegmans near KOP mall and one on 202 on the way to DE.

State of it lads... They were only letting customers buy one box of Gold this morning. I've tanned that and have had to start on Haze. This virus licks balls ☹️

The occupied territories are to reopen off licenses two days after shutting them.
It just fuelled the drug trade.

The dogs get walked morning and late afternoon and we take the horses out for a stroll just after lunch. We don't stray far from our house though.

The images of Sars-Cov-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, are from the throat swab of the first laboratory confirmed case in India reported on January 30.

You must be rich. Who can afford a horse ?? Nah, they don't cost much more than a dog to keep. They eat grass and we have plenty of that. There is an initial outlay in getting everything in place to keep them properly i suppose but once that is done they don't cost a lot other than shed loads of time and effort.

Questionable whether the Italian lockdown is working:- www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/italy/It had seemed to level off for a couple of days but then the new case numbers shot up again yesterday. Next few days will be interesting to see where this goes. You can see here why it may not work - e.g. Struggling to work out why takeaway services are still allowed to open. You've got workers from 3/4 different homes still coming into the same place and mixing, potentially already infected but asymptomatic, then the deliveroo / justeat guy arrives (prob a student living with 3/4 other guys who were out partying last weekend, also asymptomatic) comes in to that takeaway, then other takeaway, etc and goes door to door, in and out of apartment blocks, etc. 919 more deaths today. The highest in a day to date. news.sky.com/story/amp/coronavirus-italy-reports-919-virus-deaths-in-one-day-highest-number-so-far-11964712Still questionable whether the lockdown - as it's being done - is having any effect. Although as a positive the new cases figure did drop...

It's worrying them because people that have recovered are getting re-infected and their damaged lungs can't handle it again and it's killing them.

And re-infection with covid 19 happens, meaning that catching it once doesn't necessarily give someone immunity through antibodies. In fact it's lethality increases with each bout of infection you get.

The evidence on immunity seems to be a bit sketchy still. Some reports are claiming people have built up immunity but other reports are saying people are getting re-infected. I'm guessing it depends on the person or maybe they contracted different strains of coronavirus.

We had 6 documented cases in my town last Friday. Now the number is up to 60. I got the feeling that in 20-50 years they will look back on this social distancing and self isolation and say it was as effective as the duck and cover drills during the 1950's.

It could continue to hit humans until and if it hits a genetic mutation able to tolerate it. Everyone else would eventually succumb.

With China's air quality, they should be really worried.

Getting a vaccine that is only even 25% effective would be so huge right now.
