If you give up your rights and freedom, you deserve none of them. You’re bleating about some things that you shouldn’t be. what the fuck is wrong with the police knowing about a bunch of cunts congregating together and risking infection and risking the lives of many other people further down the chain? Look t what’s happening with the death toll in the U.K.. sort yersel out about that. People out exercising more than once a day is something that I’m not too bothered about I admit, as long as they maintain their distance from other people. So I tend to agree with you about that. But that first thing ... nah, you’re objectively wrong. It is interesting to see how the western media is trying to fuel bad feelings about China. One of the stories cooked up was that apparently the eye doctor who died of Corona and who was whisteblower was on brink of discovering cure for Corona. Okay, very believable, an eye doctor fighting from disease in hospital was about to discover cure when 1000s of real experts are not getting anyway near. The western media tries to make you believe that the Chinese people were brutally made to self isolate and that Chinese government is murdering/suppressing its people day and night. When in fact WHO has very highly praised China's action plan which was not just about self isolation but also about reducing pollution. All in all, a significant portion of western people want to continue with unfettered rights to continue their lifestyle as they want even at cost of endangering other people. It's okay to burn hospital vans or spit on police or medical people just because they won't get much of a retaliation. In spite of far better resources and technology people are dying and still some want unfettered right of roaming around the streets in search of beer and with expectations of having good barbecue. I think if anything China/South Korea are emerging as the future role model from this whole story.

The number of cases in the United States (and the world) is not reflective of the number of cases that have recovered.
In other words, lots of people tested positive for the Coronavirus, got sick --- and got all better. But they are still being included in the total numbers.

My brother got tested last Tuesday for Corona. He's still waiting on the results. My Mother tried filing for partial unemployment because the company she works for closed down as a health concern and won't be opening back up for a few weeks, and she was denied unemployment.
Telling people to stay at home and then denying them any financial support will go over like a fart in church! People are going to take their chances with the virus if it means they will be able to buy some fucking food and utilities!

I think Ontario has banned gatherings until June 30th now. Which means the Jays if they were to start earlier would not be allowed any fans.

How do you know that your mother's place of employment is opening up in a few weeks? Good point. She works as a vendor in Cosco, BJ's and Target and all three of those joints are still open for business. She also works in CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aids but while some of them are still open as "essential businesses" the company She works for shut down out of fear of the outbreak and will not send any employees to these stores to service the accounts.
Technically She still has a job, and could theoretically go to work since the stores are open and do the jobs but the company won't pay and the shit heads at unemployment aren't willing to pay up.
I got into vending years ago and work for another company. My company is still willing to pay us if we are willing to go out and do the jobs we volunteer for. I was still willing to go into places like Target and Wal-Mart and whatnot and take on these jobs because hell, I need money! My Mom not qualifying for unemployment doesn't leave me with a whole lot of alternatives.
Take your chances out there in the trenches, or sit at home with no income being told off by some state worker numb nuts you don't qualify for unemployment because you still have a job and could be working? Stay at home and self isolate isn't really an option for me.

People still didn't get paid - - it's not like they are going to get double paid in a few months. You simply have to have that month/months free or else you're really going to have some public unrest coming down the pike.

Does your mother have a savings? She should still get that $1,200 check (whenever we ever get those). Did she get direct deposit last year from the IRS? If I was her, I would open my own side business. Or get another job with a different company. Employment diversification is as beneficial for security as financial diversification. (I have two jobs and a savings for a rainy day/emergency.)

One stupid religious gathering has totally changed the growth rate of this disease in India. Now compounding severely and most cases at the moment traced from one event.

One stupid religious gathering has totally changed the growth rate of this disease in India. Now compounding severely and most cases at the moment traced from one event. There is a pastor outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana who continued to hold services for a crowded church inspite of the governor's stay at home order. He was arrested and charged with 6 counts of reckless endangerment and being a danger to the community. He's promising to continue to hold services anyway www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/news/coronavirus/article_e7c0a2a0-7369-11ea-9de7-030a7a7fbef3.html

The Pastor you mentioned is embarrassment. I'm religious. And I believe in God. But I'll be the first one to admit, some religious people are just plain stupid. God helps those who help themselves. You can't just pray and go to church. You have to use good judgement. Nowhere in the Bible does it say you have to go to church. Church is a man made institution. The church is not God. The pastor is not God. You can pray and go to church all you want. But if you make a dumb mistake, you're gonna pay. And in this case, you're putting others at risk.

I was taught and believe if I make a dumb mistake I can confess my sins and God will still love me no matter what.
I just need to say a couple of 'Our Fathers' and 'Hail Marys'

Russia is flying much needed medical aid to the US today... PPE etc.
Russia is behind the US in the outbreak, and hopes that when the US ramps up production it will reciprocate if and when it struggles with coronavirus medical supplies itself.
Blimey... Co-operation.

Whilst it seems likely that the Chinese have cooked their numbers (or is that just what we're conditioned to believe?) something like what you've written there is so stupid it's beyond belief. Problem is most people don't even question. There was an equally daft Daily Mail article on here the other day which I highlighted a quote from just to show the insanity of what we're just supposed to swallow - something about residents knowing that hundreds of urns were being sent from multiple cremation sites around Wuhan per day. I mean think about how stupid that would be applied to your own town when all the residents are in a lockdown. How could anyone possibly know how many urns were being sent where, by whom on a daily basis whilst stuck in your living room! Yet you're not supposed to even think about the detail, just be shocked at the headline...

Australia has introduced booze 'rationing' to prevent hoarding...
Each person may only buy daily up to two cases of 24 beers each or pre-mixed drinks, a case of 12 bottles of wine, or two bottles of spirits.
