Edinburgh festivals cancelled
The Edinburgh Fringe festival has been cancelled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, organisers have announced.
The Edinburgh International Festival, the Art Festival, the International Book Festival and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo have also been scrapped for this year.

So, to be clear, you do agree it would be reasonable, in fact advisable, for people to report a large social gathering at a neighbouring home to the police? The excercising thing is different of course. But don’t be going out ten times a day when you’d normally only be out once or twice just so you can cock a snook at the polis. I'm not reporting anybody. I take my dogs out twice a day, three if I need the head space... I am legally allowed to do so... And in doing so, I never get within about 4 metres of anyone I pass for a split second, and touch no communal surfaces.

I'm religious. And I believe in God. But I'll be the first one to admit, some religious people are just plain stupid. God helps those who help themselves. You can't just pray and go to church. You have to use good judgement. Nowhere in the Bible does it say you have to go to church. Church is a man made institution. The church is not God. The pastor is not God. You can pray and go to church all you want. But if you make a dumb mistake, you're gonna pay. And in this case, you're putting others at risk. I was taught and believe if I make a dumb mistake I can confess my sins and God will still love me no matter what.
I just need to say a couple of 'Our Fathers' and 'Hail Marys'  I was taught, God will forgive you, but you're still going to pay. In other words, God loves everybody, even the Devil, but everybody pays. |

The United States has passed Italy in total deaths. But the United States has more people. Deaths per capita would be more informative.
One reason the United States has so many deaths is because the US has lots of unhealthy people. Lots of obesity, diabetes, heart disease and lung disease.
I know there have been some young and healthy people dying. But still, most deaths are occurring among the old and sick.

It is interesting to see how the western media is trying to fuel bad feelings about China. One of the stories cooked up was that apparently the eye doctor who died of Corona and who was whisteblower was on brink of discovering cure for Corona. Okay, very believable, an eye doctor fighting from disease in hospital was about to discover cure when 1000s of real experts are not getting anyway near. 😂 Yeah, that's just ridiculous. Whilst it seems likely that the Chinese have cooked their numbers ( or is that just what we're conditioned to believe?) something like what you've written there is so stupid it's beyond belief. Problem is most people don't even question. There was an equally daft Daily Mail article on here the other day which I highlighted a quote from just to show the insanity of what we're just supposed to swallow - something about residents knowing that hundreds of urns were being sent from multiple cremation sites around Wuhan per day. I mean think about how stupid that would be applied to your own town when all the residents are in a lockdown. How could anyone possibly know how many urns were being sent where, by whom on a daily basis whilst stuck in your living room! Yet you're not supposed to even think about the detail, just be shocked at the headline... I think some stories from Chinese government are indeed manufactured with manipulation but to some extent we are probably conditioned to believe that whatever China says is false. My cousin in India seems to be a totally brainwashed fellow and takes a great pride in his anti-communist stance. He said to me that 1 million people in China have died of Corona, and that 10 millions are currently infected. The sad thing is that such people have no problems in believing contradictory stuff too. He also believes that China has the cure (and yet they let 1 million of their citizens die!). Yeah, I can understand believing that China may have lied about its number. May be 20,000 died and not 3300 as reported. But to believe that 1 million is China have died in insane.

The numbers from UK reported today are almost shocking. Uk has about just 14% infections compared to that of US and yet 563 reported to die in a single day. I have observed that if a country initially shows high death rate then it continues to show high death rate even later. So just hope that UK infection numbers come in control otherwise you are staring at a carnage never felt before in recent times.

This is a legit source. www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ You can track every country from this US has passed Italy in total number of infected cases. Currently 207,535 cases and 4,609 deaths in US. Compared to that 110,574 total cases in Italy and 13,155 total deaths. So US death rate from this disease is significantly less than that of Italy. But? But this thing is growing in US at an insane pace. Everyday it seems to get 25% bigger. So later when more people are infected and you have less resources per patient then you might be in a big trouble. Just hope that the new cases reduce.
