Sometimes people's stupidity puts everyone at risk. These people don't know that their misplaced faith and carelessness and disregard for others is causing problems for others. The Pastor you mentioned is embarrassment. "The pastor of Life Tabernacle Church in Central went ahead with an evening religious service Tuesday night just hours after city police cited him over allegations he violated a state order to limit crowd sizes during an outbreak of the novel coronavirus."www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/news/coronavirus/article_b75ffa36-73b7-11ea-85e4-d79db9fd1d4b.html

Nottinghamshire 'lock-in' pub closed under new laws A pub that was holding a "lock-in" for regular drinkers has been shut down under new coronavirus legislation. The licensee was serving drinks at The Blue Bell, in Nottinghamshire, unbeknownst to its owners, police said. Nottinghamshire Police officers were called to weekend reports that drinks were being served and, along with Ashfield District Council, shut it. All stock and alcohol has also now been removed from the premises, in Mansfield Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield. Following the government's social distancing measure announcement on 20 March, all pubs were told to close. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-52128883Prosecute the turdstains.

Two members of the online Catholic community I gather with daily to celebrate Mass with, have lost family members to covid 19 in the last 48 hours.
My daughter who stayed on at her school to care for children from the most socially disadvantaged families now has symptoms and is isolating at home.
I sit on my porch with a bottle of red at lunchtimes, and tell off really old neighbours who still walk past going shopping like nothings happening... They can be really stubborn and dismissive of it. I gives em a telling.
Right, off for a rapid in/out four item grab at shop. Minimal time in there, reciting Psalm 23 Verse 4 all the way 😉

Sat on me porch having me lunch, slainte.
Still very few people out walking (the odd shopper, lone dog walker).
But oddly, road traffic which was dead last week, is back at normal levels 🤷♀️

In porch life today...
A coroner's wagon and a deep clean crew have gone to the sheltered housing flats up the end of the street, and a young couple have had a massive domestic and fight in the street.
It's all happening.

BrewDog hand sanitiser turned down by local hospital in Scotland
The independent brewer BrewDog is considering reformulating hand sanitiser made at its distillery in Aberdeenshire after it was turned down by a local hospital because it did not meet medical standards.
The firm said last month it would be giving away its “punk sanitiser” free to charities and to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, but a donation of thousands of bottles was turned down by the hospital.
While the sanitiser is 68% alcohol, well above the 60% minimum recommended by the Health and Safety Executive in the UK, it does not meet more stringent requirements for a medical environment, which requires more than 90% alcohol.
A spokesman for NHS Grampian, which includes the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, said: “We are very grateful for the offer from many local businesses, including BrewDog, to support the NHS at this time.
“Our supplies and equipment have to reach clinical standards before they can be put into use in healthcare settings and we have worked closely with the team at BrewDog to overcome some of these technical issues. This has been a really successful collaboration with the BrewDog team and we look forward to getting the gel fully operational in health and care settings right across Grampian. We at no time ‘rejected’ the offer, we instead chose to work together on finding a solution.”
BrewDog’s founder, James Watt, said it had distributed 100,000 bottles of sanitiser to groups including the Archie Foundation and Aberlour children’s charities and would continue to supply frontline workers and charities.
He said: “We started making hand sanitiser at our distillery in Ellon, Aberdeenshire, in response to the national shortage and are doing everything we can to help.
“The production of sanitiser is completely new for us, we are working closely with the NHS to understand how we can best meet their requirements for clinical care.”
BrewDog began producing sanitiser last month amid shortages of the alcohol-based hand cleaner, which has been flagged as an important tool in combatting coronavirus.

The UK government plan of antibody testing as their endgame is as misguided and as dangerous as their nonsensical herd immunity plan.
It is merely a distraction from their failure.
It relies on sacrificing people to salvage the stock market.
Hitler would have been proud.

They did a scavenger hunt inside the car. I think some people are taking drives to get over their stir craziness. If they stay in their cars the whole time, it would be social distancing.

Gas prices have plummeted

How do you know that your mother's place of employment is opening up in a few weeks? Good point. She works as a vendor in Cosco, BJ's and Target and all three of those joints are still open for business. She also works in CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aids but while some of them are still open as "essential businesses" the company She works for shut down out of fear of the outbreak and will not send any employees to these stores to service the accounts.
Technically She still has a job, and could theoretically go to work since the stores are open and do the jobs but the company won't pay and the shit heads at unemployment aren't willing to pay up.
I got into vending years ago and work for another company. My company is still willing to pay us if we are willing to go out and do the jobs we volunteer for. I was still willing to go into places like Target and Wal-Mart and whatnot and take on these jobs because hell, I need money! My Mom not qualifying for unemployment doesn't leave me with a whole lot of alternatives.
Take your chances out there in the trenches, or sit at home with no income being told off by some state worker numb nuts you don't qualify for unemployment because you still have a job and could be working? Stay at home and self isolate isn't really an option for me.
Did or does your mother list you as a dependent on her taxes?

London hospital nearly ran out of oxygen over the weekend, never mind ventilators.
The British army have been using heavy lift helicopters ferrying something 🤷♀️ around the outskirts of Bristol last few nights, fully laden, including underslung loads, in darkness, with no nav lights.
The MOD says it's routine practice... The police are telling people not to worry.
Personally, I don't believe them.
Setting up mass morgues/crematoria just outside the city.
No police here ensuring lockdown here any more... Place has a wild west feel.

Britain has the capacity to do about 3,500 coronavirus antibody tests a day.
And that is the government strategy 🤔

France just reported 1355 new deaths in the last 24 hours. This is a single day record for any country. This is insane, man. There is no sign of peak or stabilising. This is getting ridiculous. People on this thread have often said some people are scared. Yes, I am scared. Not for me but for the world in general. There is no sign of this thing stopping. Even heat is not stopping it. France didn't like this news: www.rfi.fr/en/europe/20200402-china-coronavirus-face-mask-france-stolen-us

It is tragic. What goes around comes around it seems. When Italy was reeling, France & Germany banned any export of important equipment that are used in caring for patients of the Corona. This brings each man for himself kind o situation. Something you don't like but something that is ingrained in human beings of every nation and every culture.
