It's as if the mother nature is trolling us now. After reading this new news I am feeling a little more concerned. If I was a cartoonist, I would draw a cartoon of two or three mushrooms alone in the forest. Where one says to the other(s) --- "We win".

I barely slept last night, 5am alarm for 6am Canadian relief fund sign up today, worried the site would jam or crash or worse. My online CRA access was frozen, so after a mild panic attack I tried the phone number. No wait time, updated automated messaging & access. All's I needed was SIN# & legal agreement, direct deposit 2-3days. If I don't see that, by Friday, I'm going to fall off the map - would then require getting through via telephone 9-5 avail, waiting for live operator.
Looks like Canada may be reaching the start of an apex, I hope. I check daily new case % patterns daily, & the past 3 days have been + 11-12%, compared to last week + 18-19%. Social practices of last week won't show for another 1-2 weeks, yet that's the new normal. I still think July is the safest goalpost for semi-normalcy. There's no way Canada would get cute & try to rush back only to discover more hidden community spreads - only having to f'n start this entire vicious cycle over again. We're not programmed that way thank gawd.

The governor of Louisiana just said, "Slightly more than 70 percent of all deaths in Louisiana are among black people. Black people only make up around 30 percent of the total population of the state."
Why do you think that is?

My summer courses are going to be remote. School is deciding if the fall semester will be on-line as well. Now this is a community college, but it would even be more likely for a four-year university.

A bit of a good news in that the number of new infections in Italy has hit a 24 day low based on the latest reporting. Spain saw a 13 day low in new cases. Probably curve will start flattening in those two countries starting in a few days time.

The lock down is having a strange effect here. I'm getting healthier! We are eating less and what we do eat is healthier, we are drinking less and exercising more. I've lost half a stone (just over 3kg's) and my smart watch tells me i'm fitter than i've been in years. Strange times! Most people we know it's the exact opposite.

I hate to be the bringer of bad tidings, but this doesn’t look good: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8195771/UK-worst-coronavirus-hit-nation-Europe-66-000-deaths-scientists-predict.htmlBritain could be worst coronavirus-hit nation in Europe with 66,000 deaths in the first wave of the outbreak – three times Italy’s expected toll - because of the NHS's shortage of hospital beds and intensive care capacity, warn scientists Modelling at University of Washington predicts 151,680 deaths across Europe UK could experience 66,000 COVID-19 deaths by July, and Italy around 20,000 Spain (19,000) and France (15,000) to also suffer devastating number of losses 854 deaths reported here today.

I'm eating less and exercising less. I was exercising too much and eating more. (I have a physical labor job.) I was tired, exhausted and sore all the time. Now I've lost weight, and I'm not tired all the time. I'm eating better. Less sweets and starches (carbohydrates). I've even starting cleaning my apartment. Not much else to do.

I keep hearing, even though the risk of overwhelming the medical systems hasn't disappeared yet, supposedly, things are improving in New York and Louisiana.
The infection, hospitalization and death rates have slowed.

New Jersey Governor has just closed all State and County Parks.
Effin' morons - this is why we can't have nice things folks - is it that hard to exercise on your own - social distancing staying 6 feet apart from others?
Neighboring state - hopefully it doesn't happen here - on the trail jogging this morning and came across 3 joggers next to each other - as we're inbetween 2 huge blinking signs put out by township police a couple miles apart to please maintain social distancing so the trail is able to stay open for use.
Selfish ignorant dopes

That's an extreme prediction. Don't think gap between UK and other countries in terms of total death will be so wide. France has actually already had 10,328 deaths with no sign of slowing down. Think UK will within 25% of either side of Italy/Spain in terms deaths/million of the population.
